Steve has a HUGE ADVANTAGE. If he's not DLC, the fact that Banjo was chosen over him was a crime. Banjo hasn't been relevant for years, and Minecraft has overtaken Tetris as the best selling video game of ALL-TIME. Think of that. Steve has a sword, but he also has a shield, TNT, splash potions, flint and steel, and buckets of water and lava! Minecraft has so much potential, and Steve truly deserves a spot in the playable roster.
Fortunately, he's highly likely to get in, as Sakurai likes Minecraft himself.
