Top 10 3rd Party Superheroes

While DC and Marvel share the largest and most recognizable vault of superhero characters, there are some heroes and heroines from independent creators and 3rd party companies that have made a big name for themselves too. Some are very old, and some are quite new. Here they are:

1 Spawn Spawn is a fictional character, an antihero and hellish Superhero that appears in a monthly comic book of the same name published by American company Image Comics.
2 Captain Marvel

This character was originally from Fawcette Comics. DC thought the character was too similar to Superman and filed a law suit. They later bought the character and eventually renamed him Shazam. And now he's getting his own movie.

3 Danny Phantom Daniel "Danny" Fenton, also known by his alias Danny Phantom, is the half-human/half-ghost protagonist of the television series Danny Phantom. As the ghostly superhero Danny Phantom, he protects the citizens of Amity Park from the dangerous ghosts of the Ghost Zone.
4 Ladybug She is a main protagonist in Miraculous Ladybug. Her civilian self is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Unlike Marinette who is really clumsy, kind, and dorky, Ladybug is serious when she fighting the akuma villains. Ironically, she rejects Chat Noir's flirtation despite her civilian self have crush to Adrien (Chat Noir's civilian self). Her weapon is a red yo-yo with black spots and her superpower is Lucky Charm, the power of luckiness which creates somethings to defeat an akuma. Her signature logo is a red circle with five black spots, resemble her.

While Marvel and DC mostly base their characters in the USA, this little bug's creator based her in France.

5 Hellboy Hellboy is a fictional superhero created by writer-artist Mike Mignola. The character first appeared in San Diego Comic-Con Comics #2.

I love this character so much, and I really like his movies too. I hope he can get a movie trilogy or a T.V. series.

Was a playable character in Injustice 2, and is now slated to get another movie in 2019.

6 Static Shock

Another character eventually bought by DC. Was made because of the lacking number of black heroes in comic books.

7 Inspector Gadget Inspector Gadget is a fictional superhero/agent. He first appeared in a animated show in the 1980s. He was voiced by Don Adams. He was later adapted in live action in a 1999 film starring Matthew Broderick and a 2003 film starring French Stewart. In 2015 he got a new animated show where he is voiced by Ivan Sherry. His allies include his niece Penny, his dog Brain, and his boss Chief Quimby. His arch enemy is the unseen Dr. Claw.
8 Tommy Oliver Thomas Oliver is a fictional character and the overarching main protagonist of the American live-action television franchise Power Rangers.
9 He-Man He-Man is the principal character of a series of comic books and several animated television series, characterized by his superhuman strength.
10 Darkwing Duck Darkwing Duck is an American animated action-adventure comedy television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation that first ran from 1991 to 1992 on both the syndicated programming block The Disney Afternoon and Saturday mornings on ABC.

11 Raphael Raphael, also known as Raph, is a fictional character and one of the four main characters in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
12 Rorschach Rorschach is a fictional anti-hero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. He first debuted in the graphic novel Watchmen, published from 1986-1987. Rorschach was created by writer Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
13 Mr. Incredible Robert "Bob" Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible, is the protagonist of The Incredibles and is the deuteragonist of Incredibles 2. He is voiced by Craig T. Nelson.
14 Space Ghost Space Ghost is a fictional character created by Hanna-Barbera Productions and designed by Alex Toth for CBS in the 1960s. He also had a talk show on Cartoon Network, in the 1990s. He was voiced by Gary Owens and George Lowe.
15 Leonard the Duck

The result of the greatest comic heist of all time: The creator of Howard the Duck worked for Marvel, but he lost the rights to his character. Devastated, he left Marvel and went to work at Image Comics. Later on, Marvel asked him to make a crossover comic between Marvel and Image. He agreed and made a crossover featuring Howard the Duck. At the end of the comic, Howard the Duck goes to the Image universe, and a clone of Howard goes back to the Marvel universe. The real Howard renamed himself Leonard and remains at Image.

16 Invincible

Kind of a Superman clone, this character was created by the same guy who created Walking Dead.

Also known as Lelouch Lamperouge.

Briefly had a T.V. show that lasted one season, and famously starring Bruce Lee.

22 Captain Underpants Captain Underpants is a fictional character in the popular children's book series Captain Underpants and the eponymous character. He is the alter ego of Benjamin Krupp created by George and Harold. He is the tritagonist of the Captain Underpants book series.
23 Goku Son Goku (Kakarrot) is the main protagonist in Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. He has many abilities like, super strength, utilization of ki, flight, teleportation, super speed, enhanced reflexes, and Super Saiyan transformation that increase strength, speed, and durability. His real name was suppose to be Kakarrot because that's his Saiyan name, and he is the son of Badrock, and Gina. His brother was Raditz. When they sent Goku (Kakarrot) to Earth his grandfather Gohan took care of him. Later on Goku didn't realize it when he was a kid, but he killed his grandfather Gohan because it was a full moon, and Goku looked at it, so he turned into a giant ape.

Not a superhero more of a overpowered alien to me...
