Greatest '80s Albums
The Contenders: Page 3
This really should be higher than it is. Other than it's follow-up Hysteria, there really isn't a better '80's rock album.
This album is in everyones music collection and the critics also rank it as number 1. Every review of the 80's rank this as number 1.
Well, I like many other albums as well. I agree with mjrocks: Poor haters .... shame on them... - Scorpion
Side 1 of this album is incredible. Side 2 is great a true 80s classic
Masterpiece! About close to perfect and an album one can actually listen all the way straight through. Why would one skip anything of such pleasure.
What atmosphere and so tasteful. Excellent to be sure.
Very classy and polished album. It's all good!
This is my favorite album of all time. It includes the hits: Don't Stop Believin', Stone In Love, Who's Cring Now and Open Arms. It also has the not as well known, but incredible, song Mother, Father. The album is well crafted, having good flow from start to finish. This album made it to number one on the charts in the fall of 1981, and the first track continues to sell at a surprising rate. This is one album that will not be forgotten so easily.V 1 Comment
There's not a bad song on the whole album.
The tour for the album was the greatest. The Magic tour. Wembley 86 was the best concert ever given other than Queen at Live Aid.
this is such a great album - 2nd best after night at the opera - idolangelx13
An album that helped define a decade
Masterpiece from charming Sandra!
Guns In The Sky, Need You Tonight, Devil Inside, New Sensation, Mediate, the amazing cover of 'The Loved One', Mystify, Kick, Calling All Nations... The list goes on but the number of amazing songs goes on. And 'Never Tear Us Apart'... (though not so popular) is one of the best love songs and even one of the best songs ever... Come on people, 90% of the albums higher than this are 'albums that were made in the 80s', but this is an '80s album', if you know what I mean...
Maybe not better, but far more influential for pop music than 'Thriller'
If Michael Hutchence is not in the top 10 of any list regarding 80s music, the list is crap!
Remember the days when you could buy an album and there wasn't a single bad song on it? Kick is a classic and always will be. Definitely better than 57. Totally 80's and totally Kick ass!V 3 Comments
Great concept album. Filled with themes about prophecy and magic. It's also very accessible, should be much higher. B.B
