Greatest '80s Albums
The Contenders: Page 4
Guns In The Sky, Need You Tonight, Devil Inside, New Sensation, Mediate, the amazing cover of 'The Loved One', Mystify, Kick, Calling All Nations... The list goes on but the number of amazing songs goes on. And 'Never Tear Us Apart'... (though not so popular) is one of the best love songs and even one of the best songs ever... Come on people, 90% of the albums higher than this are 'albums that were made in the 80s', but this is an '80s album', if you know what I mean...
Maybe not better, but far more influential for pop music than 'Thriller'
If Michael Hutchence is not in the top 10 of any list regarding 80s music, the list is crap!
Remember the days when you could buy an album and there wasn't a single bad song on it? Kick is a classic and always will be. Definitely better than 57. Totally 80's and totally Kick ass!V 3 Comments
There's not a bad song on the whole album.
Great concept album. Filled with themes about prophecy and magic. It's also very accessible, should be much higher. B.B
Common, this is the best Rush's album, and one of the best albums in recent music history
the best one! just listen to 'tom sawyer' or 'limelight' and you'll know what I mean.
They got it all together on this album. Lyrics, synthesizers, guitars and a shorter format that made it easy for FM radio to start playing Rush, finally!
This album marked Whitney as one of the greatest singers/vocalists ever (if not the Greatest). Brilliant ballads "Greatest Love of All", "Saving All My Life for You" and catchy dance-pop track "How Will I Know" can prove it - Irina2932
Scorpions have many great songs in this albums, this is the greatest album ever... - canessie
The biggest selling UK album of the 80s. Full of smash hit songs and its not in top 50 never mind the Top ten. Criminal. B.BV 1 Comment
Seriously...How can ANYONE dispute Duran Duran's Rio album? It literally defined what 80s popular music was going to sound like, and practically defined 80s glamour culture.V 1 Comment
Another album that should be higher in the chart. Brought progressive rock back to the Top of the charts in the 80s.B.B
