Clearly, he was the greatest in the ABA. When the two leagues merged, he transformed the NBA into a whole new and exciting league.

ARTIS Gilmore, and you are correct about how good he was.
Unfortunately, he was a bit overshadowed in the ABA/NBA rivalry and then merger, and played in the shadow of old Wilt and young Kareem.
He would be the best center in the NBA if playing today.

Rick tried to teach Shaq to do it, but Shaq actually said that he preferred to miss than to shoot underhand.
