I loved it when Blue was able to actually throw Ripper out of the window. She had a knack for taking him off guard when he was about to win. The first time especially. I believe the real reason he didn't lay a trap for Blue was because he didn't even know she was there at all. he had no prior knowledge of there being another raptor in the building, so seeing Blue took him off guard. You can't lay a trap for someone if you don't have prior knowledge about them being in the same area you are.
