Top 10 Aging Athletes Who Still Have Some Energy Left in Their Career as of 2017

Some athletes retire at a certain age but these athletes are still legitimate in their respective sports.
The Top Ten
1 Tom Brady Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., is a retired American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Brady is known for being the only quarterback in history to win 7 Super Bowls, and was often considered one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Brady was also frequently considered to be the biggest steal in NFL history as a late 6th round pick. He had previously played for the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2019.

As of 2017 Brady is still playing at the elite level he's been playing since he came into the league in 2000. He's arguably the greatest player of all time. He's definitely going to the Hall of fame.

I expect this to be his last run. The Brady Belichek era is almost over

2 Larry Fitzgerald Larry Darnell Fitzgerald Jr. is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. Fitzgerald was drafted 3rd overall to the Arizona Cardinals in 2004, he is considered to be one of the best players of his position to never win a Super Bowl.

I would be very surprised if he doesn't eventually make it to the HOF. He's surely mad his mark on the league even today on an all but lifeless Cardinals team.

3 Adrian Peterson Adrian Lewis Peterson is an American football running back who originally played for the Minnesota Vikings and currently plays for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.

This year marks the return of the Minnesota Vikings form of AP that we've missed for awhile now. He's proven that he's not done quite yet

4 Ichiro Suzuki Ichiro Suzuki, often referred to mononymously as Ichiro, is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder.

Ichiro has established himself as one of the best modern players. He has over 500 steals and over 4,250 career hits. Who knows he might still have something left

5 Philip Rivers Philip Michael Rivers is a former American football quarterback. He played for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers from 2004 to 2019 and for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2020 season. Rivers was drafted fourth overall by the New York Giants in the 2004 NFL Draft before being traded to the San Diego Chargers for Eli Manning that same night.

He has a Golden opportunity to take the AFC west with Denver still struggling offensively and their Orange crush defense is falling apart. Kansas City now has the inexperience of mahomes so I expect the offense to be down for awhile. Oakland is also not living up to expectations. That leaves the other team in LA led by Rivers

6 Carlos Beltran
7 Ben Roethlisberger Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger, Sr., nicknamed Big Ben, is an American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League.

Big Ben is aging but he is still amongst the best in the league.

8 Vince Carter Vincent Lamar "Vince" Carter is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association.
9 Matt Cullen
10 Dirk Nowitzki Dirk Werner Nowitzki is a German professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.
