Best Album Opening Songs
The Top Ten
Second best Led Zeppelin song only to When The Levee Breaks. And a great way to start out the greatest classic rock album of all time. - Beatlesboy9
Led Zeppelin IV (1971) - PinkFloyd99
It opens with a lot of a plane in the sky and then the energy kicks in with Paul doing his absolute best with vocals and then George doing a blazing guitar solo with background vocals adding more to the song then it needed to have and then but makes it even better and then the plane goes off while a few instruments come in while the plane goes and transitions into Dear Prudence! Deer Prudence is a slow song but has amazing and soothing vocals by John and background vocals by the other members! It stays the same for most of the song but later slows up at the near end and gets more of a psychedelic sound with the background vocals then singing with John and different instrument sounds and then goes back to the guitar and ends! Genius and I love how the album opens so much!
Appetite For Destruction (1987) - PinkFloyd99
Pink Floyd is my favorite of all time, and I can't stand Zep, but I really like this song.
Wish You Were Here (1975) - PinkFloyd99
News Of The World (1977) - PinkFloyd99
18? Are you kidding me?
This is legendary
A Hard Day's Night (1964) - PinkFloyd99
Highway 61 Revisited (1965) - PinkFloyd99
Should be higher, much higher.
The Joshua Tree (1987) - PinkFloyd99
The Final Cut (1983)
Really underrated - PinkFloyd99
Surprised this isn't at least Top 10. This and Dam That River are one of the best one-two punches to begin an album that I've ever heard.
It's probably the best debut song within the past decade...
One Directions made thousands their fans with their debut album...
The beginning drum roll, the guitar rifts and badass lyrics... The most perfect way to start an famous and awesome album from the 90s.
