Top Ten Albums of the 2010s With a Cover Showing a Black and White Close Up of a Female Singer's Head

I recently noticed this pattern when I pointed out in a conversation about Helene Fischer's huge success and how having a modern pop star image instead of that of a schlager singer helped her. To point that out, I compared her album covers to other schlager artists first and then to internationally famous singers.

Obviously, black and white artworks focusing on the singer's face or head became a thing. These images often make the album appear more serious, and indicate that the record is more than just your average pop music. Sometimes, but not always, that's right.

The ranking of this list is about the albums themselves, not their covers, as they all look familiar.
What's essential if you want to add an album, is that either the head or the face is the main focus of the image. There can also be hands or shoulders as well as other items on the cover, but for example not a picture of an entire upper body. Black and white also includes covers that are predominantly black and white with colored applications, or artworks in sepia.
