Top Ten Albums that Ended with Their Best Song
Hallowed Be Thy Name is still my fave song by Iron Maiden
I forgot this one, thanks metal_treasure
Okay I'm going to be straight up honest here. Six Degrees (the song) just doesn't do it for me. I much prefer 4 of the other songs over this (all but Disappear). My problem with the song and why I don't think it's better than some of their other big epics, is that the song feels more like an album rather than a full 42 minute song like I was hoping. It flows in a way that it be much better if it was all just developed into a full album. It has it's own entire concept and everything. All the other songs, The Glass Prison, The Great Debate, Blind Faith, Misunderstood felt like actual songs. They were focused, structured well and made sense in where they transitioned. Six Degrees felt like more or less, the band had one too many ideas, so they shoved it all into this song. It felt very inconsistent and disappointing as I was expecting something a bit more focused. Sometimes less is more as they say. That's my unpopular opinion but I guess I prefer a more focused idea in a song rather ...more
Song: White Walls
Concludes the album fantastically and has some of the best last 5 minutes a song could have
It closes with Wheel of Time
Starless is a masterpiece
No need to explain this one. If you heard this album, you know why it deserves to be on this list
Song: The Great Misconceptions Of Me
Fun Fact: the album cover of this was originally going to be a giant ball of (what I'm assuming is) trash, but it ended up as the album cover for Stomp 442 by Anthrax.
Song: Tears Of The Dragon
Song: Dissident Aggressor
My favorite is actually the opening track, Sinner, but most people say DA is their favorite from the album so I just put it on the list.
Well, there's a reason why people consider this to be Trivium's magnum opis.
