Top 10 Albums With a Blue CoverThis list was harder to put together than you might think! Colours are more suggestive things, so I decided to only count albums with
OUTSTANDING BLUE ELEMENTS
OR WHO ARE MAINLY BLUE!!!
Also I count all shades of blue!
The Top Ten
Hallowed Be Thy Name alone can win a spot in the Top 10, but some other great songs are also on this album: Run to the Hills, 22 Acacia Avenue, The Number of the Beast. - Metal_Treasure
Hallowed Be Thy Name along with The Number of the Beast, 22 Acacia Avenue, Run to the Hills and The Prisoner makes this album one of the best I've ever heard.
Fun Fact: The blue is actually supposed to be Gray but a printing error caused it to be blue on remastered versions they fixed the blue background - christangrant
Me, being an advanced guitarist myself, I can say the holy wars riff is much more impressive than the tornado of souls solo. - gemcloben
This album is so epic man. No bad songs on it but my favorites are: Sacred Worlds, Ride Into Obsession, Wheel Of Time, Tanelorn (Into The Void), A Voice In The Dark. And the album cover is fantastic, too (by the way, I think the image sample here is kinda blackened). - Metal_Treasure
An essential power metal album, also one of the best concept albums out there. Hansi Kürsch is an incredible singer. Songs - Nightfall, Into The Storm, Thorn, Mirror Mirror, Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill), The Curse Of Feanor. The cover represents Lúthien dancing in front of Morgoth - so beautiful and dark at the same time. - Metal_Treasure
An album with one of the best singers on this list, very well written songs, cool riffs, etc. I agree with IronSabbathPriest - my favorite songs are also Damien and Dracula. Guys, you have to hear this powerful voice, I really mean powerful. - Metal_Treasure
Often regarded as the best IE album. Every song is about some horror story or person. Song examples include Dracula, The Phantom Opera Ghost, Damien (from The Omen) etc. - IronSabbathPriest
A critically acclaimed album with a very beautiful album cover, too. - Metal_Treasure
Timeless classic, the best Deep Purple album with hits like Highway Star and Smoke On the Water, and amazing songs like Pictures Of Home and Lazy. A very diverse album with excellent songs for every mood and preferences - speed metal, hard rock, blues rock.Pictures Of Home isn't a well known song but it's awesome, too - it has 2 guitar solos, one bass solo, one keyboard solo and a cool drum intro. All these things are organically connected and don't sound like patches. Besides, the song has a great riff, rhythm, melody and vox. - Metal_Treasure
I find this album cover to be more Purple than Blue - christangrant
My favourite on this list! Absolutely no bad songs. Love the cover very much. It fits the albums concept. Which is also one of the best of all time. - IronSabbathPriest
One of the greatest metal riffs and solos I've ever heard - Phantasmagoria, Sixes and Sevens, Imperiled Eyes, The Fun Palace. - Metal_Treasure
The Bard's Song, Time What is Time, Journey Through The Dark - Metal_Treasure
I guess Pos added this but I love it, too! - Metal_Treasure
An epic concept album with a very beautiful album cover. - Metal_Treasure
Awesome blues and blues rock, Gary Moore was a great Irish guitarist (R.I.P.). Try 'Trouble Ain't Far Behind', 'Did You Ever Feel Lonely? ', 'Walkin' Thru The Park'. - Metal_Treasure
How is this blue?
This is a wrong image - it's a cover of another album by the same band. - Metal_Treasure
