Top Ten Albums You Like But People Seem to Hate

The Top Ten
1 No Prayer for the Dying - Iron Maiden

This album is #28 on the best Iron Maiden Albums list. Behind all the live albums, EP's, and singles, and why? It's not bad, why do people keep saying that?

Includes classics such as Mother Russia, Run Silent, Run Deep and the Title Track.

I really LIKE this album with all my passion.
It had some very dope songs!
I know albums like Piece of Mind and Number of The Beast are better, but does that mean that this album is bad?
This album is awesome! I don't understand the hate.

2 St. Anger - Metallica

It is not their best but people confuse that with it being a bad album. It's a good album, stop saying negative things about it just because it is the lesser music of a great band!

It's way better than Lulu.

3 Falling Into Infinity - Dream Theater

A good album. Peruvian Skies, Hollow Years, Lines in the Sand and Trial of Tears are all awesome songs!

4 Metallica (The Black Album) - Metallica

Hated by metal fans and loved by non-metal fans. Why hated? - sellout issue...
I am a metal hardliner and I don't like what Metallica did (changed their sound from thrash to less thrash and to just heavy metal).
But I also think that the album itself is great and I love each and every song on it.

5 Headless Cross - Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath stuff of the 80s is very underrated, not only this album.

The title track is so awesome.

Black Moon is an amazing song.

6 ...And Justice for All - Metallica

Their Black Album is hated but this one... Hated for what?

This Is My Favorite Metallica Album.

I love this album. It shouldn't be here.

Yeah, it is very loved among fans

7 Bark at the Moon - Ozzy Osbourne
8 Korn - Korn

Hated mostly because of the dark subject matter in the songs (not to mention the album cover) and how it was the first nu metal album and that it started the trend of nu metal which is controversial among most metalheads seeing how most of them hate nu metal. But it's still a pretty great album.

9 Load - Metallica

I love this album so whoever has a problem with it can suck it

10 Turbo - Judas Priest

I may not like glam which this album isn't really glammy. But this is in my top 10 judas priest albums

Again, people say it is glam. When it's actually not that bad.

The Contenders
11 With Teeth - Nine Inch Nails
12 Tales from the Twilight World - Blind Guardian

@IronSabbathPriest - long long ago (maybe 300 days ago) I submitted a similar comment but as you see it's still not available. Actually about 50% of my comments never appear and it causes problems on my own lists, too, when some items need descriptions but they don't appear.

I think these songs are great - Lord of the Rings, The Last Candle, Welcome to Dying, Traveler in Time.
Blind Guardian is really a great band if their least appreciated album has songs like these ones.

I can't say people 'hate' this album because it's practically impossible to hate a Blind Guardian album. But even Blind Guardian fans seem to not like it enough and I can't understand that.

The Last Candle is awesome - the intro scream, the chorus, the outro. Hansi's voice is superb!

Lord of the Rings, Welcome to Dying and Traveler In Time are also great songs.

These songs are awesome live.

YouTube this (it's audio only):

Blind Guardian - The Lord Of The Rings [Live Tokyo Tales]

Wait, people hate this album? It's not their best at all but there are many great songs!

13 Chinese Democracy - Guns N Roses

This I Love - listen to it

14 Slaves and Masters - Deep Purple

I guess people hate it because they don't hear Ian Gillan vox. I agree that classic Deep Purple is with Ian Gillan but it doesn't mean the album is not good.

There are some very cool songs on this album:

The Cut Runs Deep, King Of Dreams, Fortuneteller, Love Conquers All.

15 Yield - Pearl Jam
16 Machina/The Machines of God - Smashing Pumpkins

Stand inside your love is such a beautiful song

17 There Is Nothing Left to Lose - Foo Fighters
18 Stranger In Us All - Rainbow

The last Rainbow album, 1995. No bad songs here - great riffs and melodies from Ritchie Blackmore, and vocals from Doogie White (considered as Bruce Dickinson's replacement but lost out to Blaze).
Songs:
Hall Of The Mountain King, Silence, Ariel, Cold hearted woman, Black Masquerade, Still I'm Sad.

Pay special attention to the song 'Hunting Humans (Insatiable)' - this is a unique piece with its musical dialogue between the guitar and the singer. I've never heard such a beautiful thing before. I also like the whisper at the very end "Don't cry".

The second half of 'Hall Of The Mountain King' is awesome.
Every song sounds different and I love that.

19 Reload - Metallica
20 Long Live Rock N Roll - Rainbow
21 Jugulator - Judas Priest

Cathedral Spires is one of my all time favorites. Epic song with great vocals from Tim Ripper.

22 Significant Other - Limp Bizkit
23 The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails

Most people seem to hate it because of it being linked to the Columbine High School Massacre, but it's a really good album and I recommend you check it out. One of the best industrial rock albums of all time.

24 Born Again - Black Sabbath

People hate it because it's with Ian Gillan and not Ozzy.
Very cool songs - Disturbing The Priest, Keep It Warm. Ozzy liked the most Zero The Hero. I think it's not a bad song but it's too monotonous to my taste and it doesn't showcase Gillan's vocal skills.

25 Power Metal - Pantera

I completely agree.
The cover art is a bit misleading - yes, they look so glam and silly. But music inside is not typical glam and for that reason it's not bad. This was their transitional album - from glam to groove (Cowboys from hell came out after this album).
One of my most favorite speed metal songs is from this album - 'Burnnn!'.

This song is just awesome - riff, solo, speed and Anselmo's amazing non-harsh vocals (he hits Halford-esque high notes).

People don't like the album because it is pre Cowboys From Hell, and is glam metal.
