10 Animals We Fear That Are Usually Harmless

We all fear some animals. Right? If not you can still read this list.
The Top Ten
1 Spiders

All those western spiders barely even have any thing to fear off, just wait until you see our large tarantulas in the down under.

Long legs don't hurt you because they can't penetrate skin. They kill widows and ants, so don't kill them

My sis wouldn't sweep behind the cabinet cause there was a spider - big, but harmless

The creepy long legged spider most of us fear. It actually doesn't harm.

2 Alligators An alligator is a crocodilian in the genus Alligator of the family Alligatoridae. The two living species are the American alligator and the Chinese alligator. Additionally, several extinct species of alligator are known from fossil remains. Alligators have long existed since the Oligocene epoch 37 million years ago.

Alligators don't usually attack us. It is rare for it to happen.

3 Bumblebees

I think they are pretty nice. Unless you mess with them.

4 Snakes Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears.

Believe it or not, snakes aren't as dangerous as they look. They normally avoid conflicts. I know this because once, an anaconda went into my house, stayed there for 3 days and left without touching anyone, not even our dog.

Come on guys. They won't hurt. Unless it's a rattlesnake.

I still don't like snakes

5 Dogs The dog or domestic dog (Canis familiaris or Canis lupus familiaris) is a domesticated descendant of the wolf, and is characterized by an upturning tail. The dog is derived from an ancient, extinct wolf, and the modern wolf is the dog's nearest living relative. The dog was the first species to be domesticated, by hunter–gatherers over 15,000 years ago, before the development of agriculture. Due to their long association with humans, dogs have expanded to a large number of domestic individuals and gained the ability to thrive on a starch-rich diet that would be inadequate for other canids. ...read more.

I get that some might be allergic, but others? Why? Unless it is a guard dog.

They are very harmless.

6 Lizards

Eh, monitor lizards can be a little "dangerous" but normal lizards won't even want to fight, if you go towards them they'll always just run off somewhere.

They sure are deadly. However, they try to avoid humans.

7 Rats Rats are various medium-sized, long-tailed rodents of the superfamily Muroidea. "True rats" are members of the genus Rattus, the most important of which to humans are the black rat, Rattus rattus, and the brown rat, Rattus norvegicus.

Ok, some might see them as a pain, but most of them are quite sweet

8 Sharks Sharks are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sister group to the rays. However, the term "shark" has also been (incorrectly) used to refer to extinct members of the subclass Elasmobranchii, which are technically outside the Selachimorpha clade. Notable examples of improper classification include Cladoselache, and various other members of the Chondrichthyes class like the holocephalid eugenedontidans.

9 Wolves The wolf (Canis lupus), also known as the gray or grey wolf, is a large canine native to Eurasia and North America. Over thirty subspecies of Canis lupus have been recognized, with gray wolves comprising the wild subspecies. As the largest extant member of the Canidae family, the wolf is distinguished... read more

They are always harmless unless you harm them! Or provoke them!

10 Gnats
The Contenders
11 Stingray
12 Bear

They only kill about five to ten people each year. Even less sometimes. Compared to elephants, which kill 400 people each year. And yet we view elephants as gentle giants and bears as monstrous killers.
