Animals You Won't Believe People Eat

The Top Ten

1 Dogs The domestic dog is a wolf-like canid in the genus Canis, and is the most widely abundant terrestrial carnivore.

This is my issue. EATING DOG MEAT IS NO DIFFERENT FROM EATING PIGS OR COWS OR CHICKENS. Seeing these comments about "eat pigs, not cats or dogs! " Is really saddening. Both animals are worthy, and deserve to keep their lives. Calling this unbelievable is like saying dogs deserve to live more than pigs do. And that's not right. - keycha1n

ewwe, nobody should ever eat our furry little friends. :( I love dogs so much, it's not fair that someone would eat them. gross

This is sadly true. I am so ashamed of my country. But the basic reason pigs are eaten more than dogs is that dogs are overall cuter. Don't just like animals because they're cute. I like pigs and dogs the same. How about you?

Dogs are here to play with us and live with us, not for us to eat

2 Cats The "House Cat", also known as the Domestic Cat or the Feral Cat, is a small feline, a good hunter, and comes in a variety of colors and fur patterns. Contrary to popular belief, however, they are not truly domesticated. They are highly intelligent and good at problem solving.

Eat pigs not cats? Unbelievable. I like cats as much as the next person, but pigs deserve just as much to live as cats. You people are sick. I am so ashamed of my country, but please stop assuming that all people from that country are the same. Like if I said that all Americans are obese. I know it's not true, and neither is the rumor that all Chinese and Koreans like to eat cats and dogs. Many do, but stop with the assumptions! Back to the original topic, I hate how cats and dogs are eaten, but how is that different from pigs being eaten? They are both animals who are smart, loyal, and deserve to live.

That's JUST SICK! How evil, why would they do that. :, ( Oh My Gosh that is just mean.

Would you eat a pig if you were starving to death? The answer is probably yes. And how are cats any different? I hate how people are outraged and sad that cats are eaten but eat pig and cow everyday.

I'd never eat a cat, even if I were starving half-to-death. That would mean I care more about myself, and that isn't right - SilviaCat

3 Humans Humans are not exactly wild animals, but they are not domesticated either. Humans are proven to be the most intelligent species of animals on Earth. Humans' colours vary from almost pepper black to milky white.

That's called CANNIBALISM, and there's no way I'm gonna end up like Hannibal Lecter.

Why do we eat humans? Why do we eat animals, like pigs and chicken, and yet eating a dog is considered bad? Pigs are underrated, and they deserve to live as much as dogs or cats do. - AliciaMae

Uh I know it's pretty f***ed up the people eat dogs but why do people eat other people? It's just so disgusting.

Noo that is not fair snakes should eat humans their the 3rd best thing in the world cause 1st is god 2nd is family

Snakes are afraid of people but they can defend themselves. That's why people hate snakes. And why snakes are eaten. Snakes are eaten by people so they get nervous and afraid. People are scared by snakes being afraid so they kill and eat snakes.

13 Pigs

People who eat meat purposefully turn a blind eye to the suffering and destruction regular meat causes. It's simply lying to yourself because you don't want any of it to be true, and because you benefit from the injustice. People want to avoid a moral conundrum, but the truth is: Meat is horrible for you, the animals, and the planet. And it is terrible. - keycha1n

How is this even on the list? Almost everybody I know has eaten pigs. I've eaten pigs. So called pig lovers like my sister eat pigs. I can absolutely believe that people eat pig.

I like pigs, and I eat them. Almost everybody eats pigs...

14 Sharks Sharks are a group of fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Sharks have been around before the earth's first dinosaurs and even the earth's first trees.

10 million sharks are killed every year from people. 5-15 people are killed every year from sharks. And yet many people think that this is not enough. They hate sharks and kill one saying that it's for the good of humanity. I'll have you know that more people kill people than any other animal. So why do people-killers end up in prison while shark-killers are sometimes praised? People see sharks' teeth and say, "That looks mean and scary! We have to kill it! " Then they kill and eat sharks. And the younger generation are constantly fed stories about how mean and scary sharks are. Next, the younger generations want to eat shark fin soup. People really aren't using their brains for good.

More sharks are killed to make shark fin soup then humans in shark attacks - Imreallyboredrightnow
