Top Ten Animals You Wouldn't Want As a Pet

The Top Ten
1 Brazilian Wandering Spider Known for its aggressive behavior and potent venom, the Brazilian Wandering Spider is native to tropical South America. Unlike most spiders that build webs, it roams the forest floor in search of prey. It is considered one of the most venomous spiders in the world.

Haha I'm 12 and not a single spider has scared me ever man you people gotta man up instead of running away from spiders I get close and try to observe them. It seems most people are scared of spiders instead of other obscure bugs which belong in any nightmare.

The most deadly spider in existence, you don't want get bitten by this guy because 33% of it's bites are venomous and this spider has one of the most deadly venomous bites.

Dude, you know these spiders can kill you in a single bite. You'd be wise to ignore them.

Spiders are ugly as hell, I don't want one as a pet. They are more useful outside.

2 Hippopotamus The common hippopotamus, or hippo, is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae, the other being the pygmy hippopotamus.

What's funny about this is that there is a pet hippopotamus existing named Jessica. However, a wild one wouldn't be nearly as nice. Hippos kill 500 people a year and it wouldn't be nice to have it defecate everywhere. Seriously, have you seen how those things poop?

They will either drown you, bite you, or crush you. Enough said.

Hippos are dangerous and would make really bad pets.

3 Mosquito Spanish for "small fly," mosquitoes are insects that have been known to cause various diseases. A sample of diseases caused by mosquitoes: malaria, yellow fever, Chikungunya, West Nile virus, dengue fever, filariasis, Zika virus.

Heh. Do you guys know how many people died from mosquitos? More than the deaths caused by all the animals above this one put together. Especially diseased mosquitos. I can put you in a room with a few Brazilian wandering spiders and a few diseased mosquitos. The spiders won't even notice you. Unless you poke 'em. The mosquitos will latch on you, and unless you kill them, you probably can get some malaria or Zika.

I love petting my mosquito! He's just so much fun to play with!

However, they don't get very old. It's so sad when they pass on... That is why I no longer want mosquitos as pets, and rather get an animal with a longer lifespan. Like a hippo!

Spread disease, not attractive and if they carry malaria will became a race to the hospital for the person bitten.

4 Saltwater Crocodile The saltwater crocodile, also known as the estuarine crocodile, Indo-Pacific crocodile, marine crocodile, sea crocodile or informally as saltie, is the largest of all living reptiles, as well as the largest riparian predator in the world.
5 Bengal Tiger

They are super tough. They have killed lots of people. And if they meet they Wil face lions leopards and even honey badgers

Very endangered species, plus the most harmful animals out there!

I want a white tiger

6 Green Anaconda

To the person that said snakes are the stupidest animal alive,

Learn to spell, toddler! What are you, two? Snakes help control the rodent population. Without snakes, rats would be eating our pantries from the inside out and crawling in our bed at night. Also, snakes aren't stupid. Scientists have claimed they're very intelligent creatures that have the ability to learn and adapt and know the boundaries of their territories. If you think all snakes are man-eating monsters, you're wrong. Only 10% of the snakes in the world are harmful to humans.

Sincerely,

An intelligent person

The biggest snake in the world could easily wrap it's 120 kg body around your torso and suffocate the life out of you with ease. That would sure be a nasty way to go.

I've had several anacondas as pets, and they are excellent, although very sensitive to cold temperatures.

7 Skunk Skunks are mammals known for their ability to spray a liquid with a strong odor. Different species of skunk vary in appearance from black-and-white to brown or cream colored, but all have warning coloration.

Some people actually have skunks as pets but they first have the odor glands removed from their bodies so they can't spray.

But you can remove the skunks scent glands from they're body, then they wont smell anymore and theyll make the best pets ever! ZReally guys, you should know that already.

You do realized that the only way to get rid of skunk smells is to bath in tomato juice.

8 Black Widow Spider
9 Lion The lion (Panthera leo) is a large cat of the genus Panthera native to Africa and India. It has a muscular, broad-chested body, short, rounded head, round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. How is this an animal? That's a marvel superhero!

13 Leech Leeches are segmented worms that belong to the phylum Annelida and comprise the subclass Hirudinea. Like the oligochaetes, such as earthworms, leeches share a clitellum and are hermaphrodites.

Why would anyone want such a useless creature as a pet?

Suck your blood

14 Hyena Hyenas or hyaenas are any feliform carnivoran mammals of the family Hyaenidae /haɪˈɛnᵻdiː/. With only four extant species, it is the fifth-smallest biological family in the Carnivora, and one of the smallest in the class Mammalia.

Dude, Joker and Harley Quinn are fictional so they never had them. Hyenas have been domesticated in the Middle East. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

Yeah, Hyenas are cute, but NOT good pet material. Harley had 2 since she is unstable, and no rational person would have this as a pet considering the risks

Hyena? Not wanting as pet. You can tame these (at least the less vicious male hyenas)

15 Blobfish The blobfish is a deep sea fish of the family Psychrolutidae. It inhabits the deep waters off the coasts of mainland Australia and Tasmania, as well as the waters of New Zealand.

Even just by looking at the picture get me the creeps.

It's not it's fault if it's not what we call pretty!

I will vomit if I see this fish.

16 Cassowary The cassowaries are ratites in the genus Casuarius and are native to the tropical forests of New Guinea, nearby islands, and northeastern Australia.

A bird with so much power it can disembowel a human with a single kick. Ouch!

These birds are crazy and injure a lot of people, not pet material.

Its best if you get cassowary plush instead of a real cassowary.

17 Dog The dog or domestic dog (Canis familiaris or Canis lupus familiaris) is a domesticated descendant of the wolf, and is characterized by an upturning tail. Why is the dog the one we shouldn't have as a pet if it has been domesticated as a pet?

Uh... Chihuahua is a dog breed. So, it's okay to have a chihuahua as a pet.

That's a dog breed why wouldn't you want that for a pet eh? I mean it's a dog breed! So it's safe! Deh!

18 Poison Dart Frog

They are only poisonous it they feed on beetles and ants that are poisonous, and people don't feed them that in captivity, so you can keep one as a pet.

The chances of getting poisoned by this creature are already very high, but to own one as a pet is multiplying your chances by 100.

Jumps all over the place and will kill you if you invade it's space.

19 Vulture

They stink, they scavange and they poop on their own feet! Why would you want a gross, bald bird, wandering around all day pooping everywhere, in YOUR HOUSE? I know I wouldn't

20 Python Snake

No they are not.

Okay, there are a lot of them in Hawaii, and I've seen enough for this to be a confirmed "NOPE".

23 Humans Humans (Homo sapiens) are the most abundant and widespread species of primate, characterized by bipedalism and large, complex brains. This has enabled the development of advanced tools, culture, and language.
