Emmet is basically just a regular everyday construction worker who is thrown into the adventure of a lifetime to save the Lego world as he is mistaken for the special and even though his inferior compared to the rest of the other Lego characters Emmet eventually is able to save the day after possessing the power of a master builder and confronts Lord Business to get him to stop his master plan.
Loved both Lego movies and isn't emmet most likeable character in animated movies right now?
Taking the top spot is none other then Fa Mulan who wants nothing more then to make her family proud and bring them honor which is not easy especially when her society wants her to be this idea of a perfect maiden which is not what she wants, not soon after war breaks out after the Huns invade China she takes her father's place in the army and fights an uphill battle as she struggles to keep up with the training and despite the fact that she almost single handily wipes out the Hun army by burying them in snow due to causing an avalanche once her true identity is revealed she is almost executed before being spared as she is left behind while the army goes off without her, she proves herself once again by helping them save the emperor after Shan Yu and his remaining Hun soldier survive the avalanche and Mulan is honored as hero to China.
At the start of the movie Chihiro comes off as cowardly and whiny until her parents get turned into pigs and Chihiro is forced to get a job at a bathhouse for spirits run by the witch Yubaba giving up her own name in the process as Chihiro is forced to put aside her fears and worries in order to free her parents from the spell and return them home as she overcomes every challenge that is presented to her as she gains the courage to help free her parents and return home.
First seen as nothing more then a nuisance not fitting the idea of what a viking is suppose to be and seen as too weak and scrawny to fight dragons, however Hiccup discovers after his work with Toothless a Night Fury who he crippled he learns about dragon's behavior and becomes some what of an dragon whisperer and and helps bring a new way of life to Berk where vikings and dragons live together in peace.

Underrated character from an even more underrated Disney movie Jim is basically a rebellious teenager constantly getting in and out of trouble who wants to embark on the voyage to Treasure Planet in order to prove to his mother that he's not a screw up and get the money to help repair the inn that was destroyed earlier, and with the guidance of Mr. Silver Jim is able to prove himself.
He’s more realistic than most animated characters.

Like many characters on this list Norman is an outcast ridiculed by the whole town for his ability to talk to ghosts even his own family thinks he's a freak, he gets tasked with stopping a witches ghost's curse from wrecking havoc on the town eventually having to confront the witches ghost by himself.
After rewatching it, he is looked down upon by EVERYONE!
A dreamer who dreams of making it big in Hollywood only to find a massive road block standing in his way as the politics there say that only humans get the good roles and all the animals are only given the minor roles, Danny does anything he can to change the people of Hollywood into allowing him and all the animals to do more then juts be bit players but no matter how hard he tries nobody is willing to listen he even goes to Darla Dimple which ends up being a huge mistake as she sabotages their audition and gets them all kicked out of Hollywood, at one point Danny gives into defeat and heads back home but gives it one more shot and gets the other animal actors to perform on stage and despite Darla's attempt to sabotage their performance again they wow the audience and make them take notice of their talent.
Not much left to say other then Quasimodo being an outcast who lives a solitary life locked away in the bell tower as its bell ringer, and the one time he does decide to step out during the festival of fools he is cheered on as the new King of Fools before everyone quickly turned on him and proceeded to humiliate him though one person does show him kindness Esmeralda, and even though he doesn't get the girl in the end Quasimodo still rises to the occasion and breaks free from his chains to rescue Esmeralda from execution and fend off his master Frollo and the guards.
