1 Avatar: The Last Airbender Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in an Asiatic-like world in which some people are able to manipulate the classical elements by use of psychokinetic variants of Chinese martial arts, known as "bending". This show is often seen as one of the greatest cartoons of all time and is commonly thought to be an anime.

If there was one animated show that stood out the most during the 2000's it would have to be Avatar the Last Airbender with an amazing story and an amazing ensemble cast.

2 Invader ZIM Invader Zim is an American animated television series created by Jhonen Vasquez for Nickelodeon. The series centers on an extraterrestrial named Zim from the planet Irk, and his mission to conquer Earth and enslave the human race along with his malfunctioning robot servant GIR.

An amazing dark cartoon that you never would have guessed could have come from Nickelodeon staring.

3 Samurai Jack Samurai Jack is an American action-adventure chanbara animated series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. The series premiered on August 10, 2001, with a TV movie called The Premiere Movie, before ending in its fourth season on September 25, 2004, without concluding the story. A revival was produced twelve years later, giving the fifth and final season that concludes the series, which premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami on March 11, 2017.

There's just not enough wordls to describe the sheer amazement that is Samurai Jack.

4 Danny Phantom Danny Phantom is an American animated series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon. It was produced by Billionfold Studios and distributed in Canada by Nelvana, a Canadian animation company. The series follows a teenage boy who, after an accident with an unpredictable portal between the human world and the "Ghost Zone", becomes a human-ghost hybrid and takes on the task of saving his town (and the world) from subsequent ghost attacks using an evolving variety of supernatural powers. He is aided in his quest by his two best friends, and later, his older sister, who for most of the series' run are among the only people who know of his double life.

Yet another amazing show by Butch Hartman the creator of Fairly Oddparents.

In Duel Monsters, they mostly played children's card games because war does not exist.

It may just be an anime about a card game but it actually turned out to be pretty interesting as main protagonist Yugi and his friends must battle dark forces through card battles with usually the fate of all mankind at stake,
