There have been a few hints that Peridot is the youngest full gem. For instance, in Marble Madness, she had no idea who the Crystal Gems were or about the Rebellion. She appears childish and gets frustrated with old gem technology. This was also shown in Friend Ship when she was frustrated with the control panel on the old gem ship. It's similar to how we get frustrated with old computers.

However, it's really been hinted at in When it Rains, when Peridot said she wasn't around when the Cluster was created and read over a few hundred years of reports. From this, we can infer that Peridot is 300-3,000 years old, making her the youngest full gem.
