Top 10 Anime of 2016

The Top Ten
1 Boku Dake ga Inai Machi

Best story out of 2016. Best MC of 2016. Short, well paced and had me wanting to see the next episode at the end of each episode.

2 Ajin: Demi-Human Airing in 2016, this anime series is adapted from a manga by Gamon Sakurai. The story delves into the existence of Ajin, immortal beings who are hunted by governments worldwide. The show is acclaimed for its exploration of morality and human rights themes.

Ajin is one of my favorites now. I watched all of the episodes on Nerflix and now I'm waiting for the second season.

Some of these shows on this list haven't even premiered in 2016.

3 Yuri!!! On Ice

Yuuri and Viktor are shown to truly love each other, and their relationship is portrayed in a good light. Add the fact that both are from countries that still have a bit of a way to go in terms of LGBTQ+ acceptance… amazing. It's also been attracting more people to figure skating, which is great considering it isn't considered quite as exciting anymore. As a figure skating fan and having many friends who are LGBTQ+ (some of them have faced some form of discrimination), I really enjoyed this anime! I hope they make a second season (it looked like they would judging by the last episode)

Yuri! on ice is a breath taking anime about male figure skating which also depicts an accurate and touching representation of gay romance between the main characters Viktor and Yuuri. Unlike yaoi which often fetishizes homosexual relationships, this anime manages to portray a queer relationship full of love and respect. And if you think this is only for the fan girls, you're missing out because this anime is a lot more than that. The animation is top-notch and the soundtrack is beyond beautiful. The character development is realistic and relatable as well as the relationship development. I could be talk about this anime all day- it's that good. It's also a big hit among actual Olympic figure skaters around the world. Heck, even non anime fans are into this anime; legit the internet is blowing up- Yuri! on ice is everywhere.
If you still haven't watched this anime yet, I have no idea what you're doing. Just do yourself a favour and go watch it. I get that not everyone might like ...more

Amazing. Funny. Yaoi I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ANIME but the fact that this only has 12 episodes is bad... But well the whole story can fit into 12 episodes

A breathtaking anime with beautiful animation and an inspiring story.
