Anime that Need Another Season

Ever seen that one anime where you were like, that was awesome! I can't wait for the next season! Then you check and realize there's no other season. Then you go into a rampage. These are the animes that need another season.

The Top Ten

1 Deadman Wonderland Deadman Wonderland is a Japanese manga series written by Jinsei Kataoka and illustrated by Kazuma Kondou, who also wrote and illustrated the Eureka Seven manga, and published in Shōnen Ace since 2008.

Please. Make. Another. Season. Major plot points I wish were explored more and that ending. What a tease. - RoseRedFlower

Unfortunately, the animation studio that produced the anime adaptation of Deadman Wonderland, known as Manglobe, is now defunct. So hopefully if they were to make a new season or reboot the entire adaptation, they could find another animation studio such as ufotable or Bones or whatever to help animate the new season or reboot. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

I’d love to see a second season. This anime was great!

2 Hyōka

I feel like this series is underrated. It was beautiful anime done by Kyoto Animation and it really needs another season for it to come full circle for me. - RoseRedFlower

It is by far the best Mystery/Slice of Life Anime out there with hints of romance. The visuals and the animation are godly. This Anime perfectly exhibits the journey and character development of a 16 year old high school boy Houtarou Oreki and the Classic Literature Club. Well, it's definitely underrated and deserves a second season. It is simply beautiful.

3 Angel Beats! Angel Beats! is a 13-episode Japanese anime television series produced by P.A.Works and Aniplex and directed by Seiji Kishi.

This anime had many problems in development with time and that's why some parts feel more rushed than others. I can tell. They need to make another season and go into more of the characters backstories and personalities. That's what made us love them. - RoseRedFlower

4 Ouran High School Host Club Ouran High School Host Club is a manga series by Bisco Hatori, serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine between the September 2002 and November 2010 issues. The manga has been adapted into a series of audio dramas, an animated television series directed by Takuya Igarashi and produced by Bones, a Japanese more.

This was such a funny and clever anime. I was sad to see it end. However, now that the manga is over, they have to make a second season in order to give fans what they want...a perfect ending! (also, I just want to see Tamaki and Haruhi's first kiss on T.V.)

Remember how the opening says Kiss Kiss Fall In Love? None of that happens here. Unless you count romantic bits with the side characters. The manga ended greatly and this series needed another season. - RoseRedFlower

PLEASE. I need more of the hilariously fun and clever adventures of the Host Club! I would also like it if they expanded more on Haruhi and Tamaki's relationship. - Absolite

YES. PLEASE. One of my favorite animes of all time and I never understood why a second season didn't happen yet. - Rue

5 The Devil is a Part-Timer The Devil Is a Part-Timer is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku.

Awesome anime must have a second season

A great 90's anime that had a horrible ending and made me want another season even more. There's still so much potential with the characters, the storyline and writing. I just can't help but want more. - RoseRedFlower

They made a reboot last year, but that doesn't really count. - Absolite

7 Claymore Claymore is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Norihiro Yagi. The series initially premiered in the now defunct Monthly Shōnen Jump in the May 2001 issue, but was moved to one of their sister magazines as the content was deemed too adult for Shōnen Jump’s target demographic.

It's unlikely that it's getting another season but I can't help that by some mystical means, it will happen. - RoseRedFlower

8 Kaichou Wa Maid Sama Maid Sama! is a shōjo manga series by Hiro Fujiwara. It is serialized in Hakusensha's monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa. There are currently 18 published volumes under the Hana to Yume Comics imprint in Japan.

I want a sequel! Usui and Misaki are so cute together!

Misaki hasn't said 'I love you' to Usui yet... - RoseRedFlower

This anime is too good to not have a second season

This is my favourite anime ever I can't wait for another season

Yes! it totally needs another season. The manga is way ahead of the series and they have enough material for not only a second season but a third season as well yet they are still making us wait. I don't know how long I can take it.

12 Baccano Baccano! (バッカーノ!), which Narita translates as 'stupid commotion', is Italian for 'ruckus'. An ongoing light novel series with over twenty volumes published, it takes place across three eras – the early 1700s, 1930s, and 2000s – and presents its story arcs in anachronistic fashion. Though more.

I think this series ended a little too soon for me. They had so much amazing features in this anime from the plot, the characters and one of the best anime tones ever. I think fans deserve another chance to see this anime again. - RoseRedFlower

13 Chivalry of a Failed Knight

I forgot to add this one. I was so pleased that this wasn't a generic harem anime. The two protagonists get together and are very likable. The action scenes are creative and a joy to watch. People have compared this to the Asterisk War but this is hundred times better! I wish there was a second season of this! - RoseRedFlower

Exceptional anime that has wonderful character development as well as a real life type relationship between the main characters that you just can't stop laughing and cheering on.

40 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
41 Broken Blade

Here's a mecha film series that flew completely under the radar. I recently just finished watching it, and I found massive enjoyment watching it. The animation is great (this is Production I.G, after all), the characters were enjoyable, the music is beautiful, and with there being only 6 45-minute episodes, you can easily finish it in a how come it never got a second season?

Well, actually, it almost did get a second season. But for some dumb reason, they decided to cancel the second season in December 2016. And given the promotional images for it, as well as the fact that it was going to dive deep into the lore of Rygart's main mech, the Delphine, that was a really terrible move the creators made. Thank god those fools apologized for the heinous act they committed.

If you haven't seen the film series, I highly recommend it. Especially if you're a fan of series like Code Geass & Vision of Escaflowne.

I just hope that in the near future that, similar to ...more - OnyxDash
