Top 10 Anime with the Best Fights

The Top Ten
1 Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. Dragon Ball Z teaches valuable character virtues such as teamwork, loyalty, and trustworthiness.

A list of animes with the best fight scenes and DBZ isn't first? I'm surprised.

This anime is the father of all fighting anime in my opinion.

Best fight ever goku vs frieza

2 One Punch Man One-Punch Man is an ongoing, online, web comic, which was later adapted into a Manga and Anime series . Created by ONE in 2009, It gained popularity, and soon after, went viral in 2012, surpassing 7 . 9 million views . One-Punch Man (OPM for short) focuses on the protagonist Saitama (Who is named after the prefecture Saitama) as he goes on to find someone who has power even remotely close to his, all while teaching his Disciple Genos how to go stronger, and ranking up in the Hero Association .

The best part about this series's action is its ability to make the fights whatever mood they need to be. While there are a decent amount of serious fights, such as Saitama vs. Lord Boros or Genos vs. Deep Sea King, it also has the ability to create fights that have a humorous value, while still being as badass & high-tension as the serious ones. Even if we all know Saitama's gonna win (easily), we still end up on the edge of our seats, excited to see how it plays out.

Saitama vs Boros is the best fighting scene in anime period. They were able to make the entire fighting fluid despite there being a ridiculous level of destruction and the art style somehow remained consistent throughout the fight, unlike some animes that suddenly make their art fuzzy and messy.

The anime was literally used by the top animators in Japan as a challenge to reach the same quality as the manga version. Think on that for a moment.

I mean I do like the anime but most of the fights mostly end in one punch cause he's one punch man

Fantastic fight scenes that are more about brain, than brawn and skill. Very clever and well animated, and you feel for each character involved in the fight.

Honestly better than One Punch Man (both series are animated by the same company)

15 Afro Samurai Afro Samurai is a Japanese seinen dōjinshi manga series written and illustrated by manga artist Takashi Okazaki. It was originally serialized irregularly in the avant-garde dōjinshi manga magazine Nou Nou Hau from November 1998 to September 2002.

For a 2007 anime, Afro Samurai put graphic animation at its absolute best with millions of dollars spent on JUST the animation itself. It's very overlooked by many anime fans. Fight scenes are super bloody and insanely detailed that it keeps your eyes glued to the screen. When in doubt, rewatch the skydiving fight.

16 Tokyo Ghoul Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump between September 2011 and September 2014, and it has been collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes as of August 2014.

The last fight of season 1 was amazing!

Kaneki vs Jason was the best.

17 Ajin
18 Fate/Stay Night Fate/stay night is a Japanese visual novel and anime series by Type-Moon. There are three story lines in the visual novel: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. A 24-episode anime series based on the Fate route and a film based on the Unlimited Blade Works route were made by Studio Deen. A new 25-episode anime series based on the Unlimited Blade Works route was made by Ufotable, which is also making an upcoming film trilogy based on the Heaven's Feel route.

Hard to pick between Stay Night and Zero so I'll just put the one that was released first :/

19 Fate/Zero Fate/Zero is a series of light novels written by Gen Urobuchi, illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi, and is a prequel to Type-Moon's visual novel, Fate/stay night. An anime adaptation of Fate/Zero was jointly produced by Aniplex, nitroplus, Type-Moon, Seikaisha, and Ufotable that ran from 2011-2012.

In my opinion, ufotable is the best animation studio for anime. And Fate/Zero is a prime example of ufotable's greatness in well-choreographed traditional and computer animation.

20 Seirei No Moribito

Super-fast animation and very detailed combat sequences.

21 Hajime No Ippo Hajime no Ippo is a Japanese manga series created by George Morikawa, which was adapted into an anime series. The series is known for its realistic portrayal of the sport, including the techniques, training, and the physical and mental struggles faced by athletes. Hajime no Ippo has been highly praised for its character development and detailed boxing sequences.

Every blow looks like the character put everything they had into it, and the impact animation is gorgeous.

22 Claymore Claymore is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Norihiro Yagi. The series initially premiered in the now defunct Monthly Shōnen Jump in the May 2001 issue, but was moved to one of their sister magazines as the content was deemed too adult for Shōnen Jump’s target demographic.
23 Code Geass Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, often referred to as simply Code Geass, is a Japanese anime series created by Sunrise, directed by Gorō Taniguchi, and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with original character designs by manga authors Clamp.
24 Shaman King
25 Kill la Kill Kill la Kill is an anime television series produced by Trigger. In Kill la Kill, Ryuko Matoi transfers to a new high school in order to find her father's murderer.

Kill la Kill is just animated insanity at its finest, and featured some of the most wild fight scenes you can find in an anime.

The first fight between Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin can only be described with one word: breathtaking.
