Greatest Anime of All Time

The Contenders: Page 11

201 MAR

Fairly good anime but it's very hard to find on the internet I watched it when it was on T.V.

202 Outlaw Star Outlaw Star

One of my favorite animes of all time. What I really enjoyed the most about this anime was Gene's (main character) character and personality. I liked his bad-ass persona and I liked how at times where he experienced defeat he needed someone to pick him up. He is definitely one of my favorite anime characters of all time. The action scenes were great in my opinion also.

Very underrated very cool anime its pretty entertaining it was one of the early shows from the once great Toonami on Cartoon Network I really recomended.

@ 129?!? Man, besides DBZ this was the show that got me hooked on anime. Seriously underrated. I would put it in the top 20 easily.

When I needed money and sold off all my anime boxed sets I allowed myself to pick one to keep and I chose Outlaw Star.

203 Lucky Star Lucky Star Lucky star is an anime that first aired (april 8th, 2007 to September 16th, 2007) in Japan. The anime follows the daily lives of Konata Izumi, Kagami and Tsukasa hiiragi, and Miyuki Takura. The show is best known for the cute "moe" characters. The target audience is shouen.

Lucky star is a brilliantly written anime, with a strong cast of characters, good humor, and plenty of character Moe to suit any taste. Jokes are abountaint, and the sense of friendship strong in this little slice of life which is known by virtually all anime fans. It's primary targeted toward a female audience, but a lot of boys watch the show as well.

Lucky Star is a 4-panel series with unique character drawing, lots of laughs, and leaves you feeling warm and happy after each episode.

This is one of the funniest animes I know about, I just wish there could been some more episodes when I watched the last episode I got kinda sad it was over. Like said in the other comment there are also guys watching this anime, for example me it gave me a good laugh and I actually almost started to cry at one of the episodes. I recommend this anime.

It's shows like this that prove anime beats American cartoons in comedy, since the action/romance/drama categories is already an obvious win for Japan.

I think the best part is the art style. Seriously, look at it! The characters are great, too. - TheEvilAlpaca

204 Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny

Best anime ever! It's all about world peace, love, freedom, justice, and equality

Although I enjoyed gundam seed better this is also got to be in my personal top 10!

It's great I liked seed a bit more but this one had a better ending. Should be top 50

It's a shame that most people tend to hate on this series... - PerfectImpulseX

205 Mushishi Mushishi

Unbelievable at first but eventually you realize that this anime is something completely new, its own original plot. Something that no else would have ever thought about this is truly creative.

If you're an adult you'll love this show! It's one of the most zen experiences anime can give you. It's simplicity and it's complexity are woven to form the perfect show.

This IS the greatest anime of all time! It's a pure work of art. A MASTERPIECE! That's the best word I can find to describe this anime.

206 Overlord

If you love fantasy into another world anime how can you not love this easily in my top 50 out of the uncountable amount of anime I've seen

Can't say the best of all. But definitely is AWESOME. You will be eagerly waiting for the next episodes. Absolute dominance, sense of superiority, full on entertainment and lots more. Must watch animes to those who always wanted to be Gods or Kings.

Oh come on, 160 is way too low for such a Madhouse masterpiece like this! With great animation, good MMO storyline, almost perfect cast of characters (except Clementine and Albedo), this deserves a mention in top 50 at least. - SelfDestruct

Desperately needs a season 2

207 Kanon

Ready for the feel trains. This anime will surely bring you on a journey. What a journey need is some unforgetable character and with just a little bit of what we call miracle. There you have it. A tear jerking anime. A 9/10 anime from KEY.

Seriously commical but can have a deep and heart wrenching plotline that can make anyone feel emotional. It hits every issue anyoone has and is written perfectly!

Best ever

Pfff. I like how my favorite anime is number 242. Of course the big flashy shonen shows are in the top ten. Because that is how most people think

208 Zero no Tsukaima

Why this is in no.215? This is the best anime I have ever seen. I love Saito Hiraga and Louise. I will always love this anime. If I could make a wish, I would like to wish that I want be friends with Saito and Louise. They are my favourite characters. I will always remember them. Although I am from India. I will always miss them, they are my favourite. I wish the bond between them will never break.

Greatest anime ever, period. The love between Louise and Saito is absolutely amasing. This anime was my gateway anime. Seriously, its as if human life were created for the sole purpose to watch Zero no Tsukaima. I know that may seem way out of hand, but trust me when I say this, you will be amazed by this anime. This anime will forever stay on my heart.

Great wish there would be more

Ok like the concept and all but really just full of fan service and over powers the whole plot. But still I watched all 3 seasons who the hell am I ti say its bad. :3

209 Summer Wars

Incredible fluency in the animation. Great story. One of my favourite movies.

A fun anime that people often overlook do to the name

Nobody see this? This is one of the best?

Some of the animation made me cringe, but the rest was AMAZING.

210 When They Cry

That is how you say it in English kinda spooky - azumangadaioh2010

Brilliant story and a truly great psychological horror story that you should never watch alone at night

This one should definitely be higher. I didn't understand it all, but it was most entertaining though disturbing. Loved it.

Those characters are crazy

211 Yu-Gi-Oh!: 5D's

Love the duels, the rides, the everything! Except the end... They all just left. Plus, it was way shorter than the other two previous generations. Each duel in the show holds a specific meaning... And... Oh, hate how YGO is never good with the girls confessing-they all just totally change the subject in the end when they're about to do it or just left! But still, 5D's will always be a part of me forever.

I have watched his anime over and over and I have enjoyed it every time. A really underrated anime for how good the plot and characters we're compared to other series that are higher up on the list.

212 Kuroshitsuji II

I love this series! The only thing I kind of didn't like was the ending (SPOILER ALERT) like when Alois is killed by Claude and when Ciel becomes a demon. Well ok the ciel as demon this is ok, but Alois was my favorite! (SPOILER END) This one is almost as good as the first season, although it's kind of confusing when Claude and Alois are in the picture. Still good! I end up crying whenever I watch this anime. It's so addicting. Deserves to be higher.

This series always has me in awe
Not to brag, but I'm the queen of this entire series.

213 Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

It's tied with SEED Destiny at my #1 "Favorite Anime Series" spot. - PerfectImpulseX

Should be top 50

214 YuYu Hakusho

I like it when a rascal like yusuke becomes the main character haha.
Ray gun!

I really like this anime.,.,.,. It's really teach how to become a fighter..

215 Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals

This is very funny this should be number 1

216 The Wallflower

This is one of a heck of an anime! Every episode is a medicine, if you consider laughter is one. Yeah, the plot may seem ordinary, a creepy girl turned Cool girl but the twist which is the character itself (Sunako) made everything awesome. The 4 boys and Auntie is just perfect fit

Really good watched twice

This should be in the top of the list because this anime is so funny and it has a lot romance... Bom...

I love DIS HSO

217 Sunday Without God

It was an absolutely beautiful anime, the plot and characters are so well developed. Although it is only around 13 episodes, this is a must watch for anyone. I hope they make a second season

This anime is so amazing, but if I'm being honest, I really need to finish it :/

218 Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero

It may be a little heavy on the fan service for my tastes, but it has something not enough anime do. Or maybe I am the only one that has a totally overpowered character that wins everything. I grow tired of pansy-ass protagonists losing all the time and needing help or recovery. Despite what may seen like just boobs and action, there is more to it. In fact, the occasional emotional scene holds more power due to its scarcity. The plot itself has an interesting tone. It isn't particularly unique, sort of a cousin concept to HACK or Sword Art Online. It is far more deserving than #214.

219 Psycho-Pass Psycho-Pass Psycho-Pass is an anime television series that was produced by Production I.G, directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani & Katsuyuki Motohiro and written by Gen Urobuchi.

While having enough hot guys to satisfy the needs of a girl, it also boasts of an infinitely cool and badass concept that is just mindblowing. There are many dramatic moments, and the songs can raise your hairs and also help build the suspense of many scenes. The characters are all the clever type, not the kind that you can't bear with, and all of them have different and diverse personalities as well as solid back stories. The actions scenes are amazing, and even when the characters are just sitting around and talking, their conversations hold the audiences' attention well, and do not waste any time getting to the point. Characters are portrayed well in the series, and the character development is good. There is no mushiness, no boringness, and absolutely no stale moments. Every second is used well, and I simply can't wait for a Season 3, if there is one.

An absolutely profound and just plain beautiful anime series, and one which has an ending that made me hug a pillow to my chest and stare teary-eyed at the screen long after the end credits had rolled. I cannot commend this anime enough for the take it took on our future, as well as the not-so-subtle-at-times social critiquing of our current day and age. As go through episode upon episode, you can't help but look around yourself at the end of each one and see the current world in a different light. On top of that, the characters are well-developed and nuanced, the animation is smooth and definitely an asset, and the pacing is done incredibly well. If that doesn't constitute as 'great', then I don't know what does, so come on and lend a hand to bump this anime up to where it should be: no. 1.

It is an amazing anime, it is well animated, clever, well thought out, and doesn't focus on fan service every second. It is philosophical and challenged your view on the world around you and where it is heading.

Amazing - emeraldfennekin

220 Tsubasa Chronicle

I'm so surprised that this story is on the low ranks.. This is actually a very amazing story.. It's just that it is so short. You'll wish to see the next episode of what will happen next.

Tsubasa Chronicles is like the epic love story, I mean yeah they fall epically but.. well it was a really really good manga. He goes into different dimensions to get her memory back knowing that if he does get her memory back every piece of him in those memories will be erased. That some serious Romeo Juliette destruction love.

I effing love this anime the action is amazing... Full depth character description that makes you love (almost) every single one of them. Plus MOKONA IS AMAZING

Its kinda cardcaptor sakura rip off and it kinda sucks, sory guys
