Top 10 Animes With the Best Animation

It's all about the style and substance, it doesn't always have to be crystal clear perfect.
The Top Ten
1 Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works is a 2014–2015 action, thriller, fantasy anime based on the visual novel Fate/stay night produced by Type-Moon. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works adapts the Unlimited Blade Works route from the Fate/stay night visual novel.

In terms of animation, Fate/Stay Night UBW is the best you'll ever see this time around, hands down. The movement is just amazing, even if a character is simply turning their head around for instance, will keep me captivated for the entire day. As well as the detail in the colouring and background art makes it remarkable beautiful that its something almost impossible to forget. Not to mention the fight scenes, oh my god the f I g h t - s c e n e s. I could rewatch them forever if I could. But its no surprise though, when knowing Ufotable is the reason behind this godly show when they also animated Fate/Zero (2011) and The Garden of Sinners (2007) which are two relatively old, yet amazing, series that have better animation than the anime we have today!

It's either this or fate zero. The animation for this anime is absolutely amazing. All of there movements are so realistic and beautiful.

The animation and art is so realistic! It even beats Attack on Titan in animation! And that's saying something!

One of the shows with excellent animation and fight scenes just a pleasure to watch

2 Attack on Titan Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, created by Hajime Isayama, is one of the most popular Japanese anime series to be released. It was first watched in Japan during 2013 and was dubbed in English to be watched in America in 2014. It is best known for its emotional moments, more.

Amazing animation. The combat scenes and the emotion and lighting and effects that the animators put into the artwork of this anime just blows me AWAY. The animators are far from lazy with this show, and they put as much effort as they can into the work! 10/10, I highly recommend this anime! (Not just for the animation, but for the story, too! Although it gets a little nasty at points...)

Although I must admit that UBW (my second favourite anime of all time after AoT) is superior as a work of art, its AOT's emphasis on character animations - the eyes especially - and entire texture that makes this number 1 for me in terms of animation. Yes, UBW has the greatest art of all anime up to this point, as 'animation' AoT just takes top spot for me in the variations it has!

By far, one of the best anime I've ever seen. From storyline to the fluidic animation, everything is just a TITAN!

My 9 year old brother and I were in awe of the realistic church bell in the beginning.

3 Fate/Zero Fate/Zero is a series of light novels written by Gen Urobuchi, illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi, and is a prequel to Type-Moon's visual novel, Fate/stay night. An anime adaptation of Fate/Zero was jointly produced by Aniplex, nitroplus, Type-Moon, Seikaisha, and Ufotable that ran from 2011-2012.

Started watching it recently. I like the Theme of this anime. The animation appears to be very high quality. Although I'm not finding the story to be as good as AOT, but the animation is rivaling.

Great anime deserve great animation after all

Prefer it over unlimited bladeworks as far as animation goes

It looks a little rougher than UBW but that makes it look better

4 Sword Art Online Sword Art Online is a series of Japanese light novels written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. In 2012, it received an anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures and the SAO Project, and is directed by Tomohiko Ito . The first season is divided into two arcs known as "Aincrad" and "Fairy Dance". more.

A-1 Pictures does a great job animating Sword Art Online! The action sequences are well-choreographed, the animation is consistent, and the characters and the virtual worlds are beautifully designed. BEAT THAT, LOG HORIZON!

Of all the anime series I watched, this is the best anime with the best animation EVER. To me, the animation is better than Attack on Titan, but only by a hair. SAO AND AOT ROCK!

The animation, characters, backgrounds are cool too bad the anime sucks and get a lot of hates

SAO may get its fair share of hate, but you can't deny how beautiful the animation is.

5 Violet Evergarden Violet Evergarden is a Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase.

This show just hits you in the feels so hard. The way that emotions are conveyed throughout the show are a testimony to how fabulous the animation is. The animation never fails to convey what the characters are going through and the settings are all fabulous and unique.

The animation can convey more emotion than words. Never before have I seen an animated gem stone appear to be alive simply through how the light reflecting off of it is animated. Never before have I seen animated water look so fluid. Never before have I watched a series that made me cry in over half of it's episodes. This is one of the most visually appealing show's I've ever seen.

When I started watching the show I saw the really detailed character models and thought that the animation was going to be very stiff. Color me surprised when I was proven wrong.

If there is any word to explain Violet Evergarden animation then it's "Beutiful". Personally it's the best animated anime for me.

6 K

K shows a veriety of textures and motions that are visually appealing. Not only does it give off a bold vibe, but it also gives off a warm vibe that when mixed together provides one the most aesthetic animations I've ever witnessed.

I am surprised that this not so mainstream anime will make it here and is known for great animation. They sure incorporated a whole deal of different techniques and it still looks nice

How should I search this anime?

It's animations are mesmerizing

7 One Punch Man One-Punch Man is an ongoing, online, web comic, which was later adapted into a Manga and Anime series . Created by ONE in 2009, It gained popularity, and soon after, went viral in 2012, surpassing 7 . 9 million views . One-Punch Man (OPM for short) focuses on the protagonist Saitama (Who is named after more.

It's a masterpiece, describing it in mere words is impossible. pause every frame and see the detailing, you will know it yourself.

One punch man has some of the greatest visuals ever, whilst using the insane power of saitama for comedy, that the animation somehow also puts emphasis on it. The visuals and movements are genius, and incredibly hard to imagine something as good let alone animate it. Every single punch has a large amount of detail put into it in even the punches; and the air behind it. At first I thought someone who destroys anything in one punch would never be well animated, but in truth the art behind it is genius. Even if you do not enjoy that, the show focuses a lot on side characters who encounter more difficulty when fighting. Compared to any anime I've ever seen (including the ones at the top of this list) one punch man clearly outranks any anime in animation. For example attack on titan has minimal fight scenes, including titan fights which are just surprisingly immobile people fighting that have a bit of wind flying off the fists every once in a while. As well as, that in attack on titan the ...more

One Punch Man is honestly the best animated anime of all time. The fight are choreographed so well and the animation for such a great studio (MADHOUSE) really brings the anime to life. I fell in love with this anime solely for the great animation.

Best animation but at the same time snow white and the red hair also has fabulous animations! But I like one punch man a bit better!

8 Overlord

A unique and an amazing anime

9 God Eater God Eater is an anime adaptation of the God Eater video game series. It is animated by Ufotable and began airing on July 12, 2015 after a one-week delay.

All I can say is that this anime's quality is top notch and while I was watching this series is that the whole way through it looked like fan-art. The detail put into the animation was so intense. Best anime of the 21st century

God Eater's animation is different than many other animes, that's why I think it's better and unique.

Best animation I've seen so far in anime

10 Death Note Death Note is a Japanese television drama series based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The show is centered around Light Yagami - a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of "justice".

Do I have to explain this one?

For it's age as well the animation is groundbreaking and still amazing compared to modern anime quality like your name

15 Ajin: Demi-Human

I feel like the cgi works really well with the atmosphere

For a CGI it looks great.

16 Soul Eater Soul Eater is an anime series directed by Takuya Igarashi and produced by Bones, Aniplex, Dentsu, Media Factory, and TV Tokyo, which adapts the Soul Eater manga written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo.

A great blend of cartoony American style with an overall anime feel to it.

Yeah the fights look boss with the cool animation style

This is one of the reasons I love soul eater

I am cool soul eater is too

17 Mob Psycho 100

Intense fight scenes and unique artwork. The art style is so vivid and insane which make the fights seem on a whole different level. Season 2 had the best animation of 2019 in my opinion

The artstyle can really work with going off model and not be weird, the animation is always on point with the intensity of the scene. To get what I mean just watch Season 2 Episode 5 such amazing visuals and you can follow every movement, its just so good

Best animation, unique artstyle with creative animation. Pure eyegasm. Season 1 was too good but then Studio Bones went further and beyond in season 2, especially episode 5, best anime episode of this year at least. Truly deserves to be on top.

Really unique and god damn the animation is really intense and amazing. The details that it has are just incredible.

18 Gurren Lagann Gurren Lagann, known in Japan as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, is an anime series animated by Gainax and co-produced by Aniplex and Konami. It was also directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by veteran playwright Kazuki Nakashima.

19 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an anime series adapted from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga by Hiromu Arakawa.

Despite being made during 2009 this show's animation was the best!

20 My Hero Academia

God show them Deku vs Kacchan battle and Endeavor vs High End when he did a shoulder rocket

Very smooth and crisp.

21 Baccano! Baccano! (バッカーノ!), which Narita translates as 'stupid commotion', is Italian for 'ruckus'. An ongoing light novel series with over twenty volumes published, it takes place across three eras – the early 1700s, 1930s, and 2000s – and presents its story arcs in anachronistic fashion. Though more.

Baccano has to be one of the best shows I've ever seen. Almost everything about this show is incredibly underrated, especially its animation.

22 Tokyo Ghoul Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump between September 2011 and September 2014, and it has been collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes as of August 2014.

It is sooo good I suggest it, all the Scences are so well made and so beautiful

This, Sword Art Online and One Punch man are by far the best animated anime series I've ever seen love that Kaneki boy :,D And can't wait for season 3 to be completed

23 Samurai Champloo Samurai Champloo is a Japanese anime series developed by Manglobe. Samurai Champloo is set in an alternate version of Edo-era Japan with an anachronistic, predominantly hip hop, setting. It follows Mugen, an impudent and freedom-loving vagrant swordsman; Jin, a composed and stoic rōnin; and Fuu, a more.

While all of the other anime on this list have great animation and deserve to be here, this one completely dominates all others in terms of animation. But the best thing about it is the brilliantly insane idea to set the series in the beautiful setting of Edo period Japan, and animate it with a one-of-a-kind hip-hop style which can never be truly replicated. The true beauty of this anime lies in it's fight scenes which are stupendously over-the-top and are works of art in their own right. Seriously, Samurai Champloo is absolutely gorgeous, just look up any one of its many fight scenes on YouTube and try to argue that it isn't.

24 Naruto Naruto is an anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga was later adapted into a television anime, which was produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. It premiered across Japan on the terrestrial TV Tokyo and other TX Network stations on October 3, 2002. The first series more.

I have only recently started Naruto, but I really love the way they animate the scenes! The story is also really nice, and I think Naruto's one of my favorite animes ever. I recommend it!

I love anime so much that Naruto was the very first anime that I started to watch and I love it so much LOL!

25 Psycho-Pass Psycho-Pass is an anime television series that was produced by Production I.G, directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani & Katsuyuki Motohiro and written by Gen Urobuchi.

Psycho Pass is very unique, and every character is amazing and interesting. It also lets u take a good look at their world, and u will see you'll make an opinion for urself about their world. The animation is 10/10, I love it.
