Most Annoying Things About Blu-Ray Movies
Me, I am an avid Blu-ray buyer. I have been buying them since before I even had a Blu-ray player (late 2007) and didn't even have an HDTV to play them on until March of 2014. Didn't matter. I wanted the best quality and I got the best quality. Unfortunately, even the standard in hi-definitely. movies comes with it's problems. This list compiles the issues that can occur when you own Blu-rays that drive me (and of course, you) absolutely insane. The playback, for one, makes it difficult to fast-forward and rewind on hand-held devices.
You can't purchase 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' with both its 2D and 3D copies included. You need to buy the 3D as a stand alone disc. I am sure there are other examples out there.
I'm looking at you, Frozen, Maleficent, and Big Hero 6.
Movies that have those flappy disc holder things keep breaking on me.
Many movies that have been available for purchase since the dawn of the Blu-ray disc come with expired digital copy codes and discs. What's the point of including them anymore if they're useless?
If you want to buy 'City of Ember' on Blu-ray you can only get a Region B copy. Guess what? It won't work in North America.
When I know a movie is available with a slipcover, I, being a collector, want a copy with a slipcover. Yet, Walmart never seems to have them.
Damn it, I want Pinocchio.
Looking for an Ultimate Edition of Iron Man? I know I am.
