Shine on You Crazy Diamond

Interesting. So I will assume it's your goal to somehow reorganize the list to better represent what is deserving to be in the top 100. I think that is a noble goal, but given the fact that the original list is as screwy as you say it Is (And again I agree) isn't this list, or any other here on the top tens, doomed to the same fate?

That whole list should be blown up. It's a misbegotten hodge-podge, and more than half of whats on there does not belong in the top 1,000 much less top 100.

They only have 4 (date: 11.11.17) - waldo

If I exclude the songs with plagiarised parts I wouldn't find 10 songs deserving to be in the Top 100, unfortunately...
Out of the plagiarism-free songs, I would name only Kashmir and Immigrant Song. Maybe Heartbreaker, too, but I'm not sure it's a Top 100 material (top 100 Best songs of all time). - Metal_Treasure

Really I disagree with the whole premise of this list if you consider the number of music genres you realistically would be able to include not much more than 10 songs even from the most major genres very few artists played multiple genres at a high enough level and most genres would have several great songs not by one dominant artist. This means that really 5-6 is the most that any one act might have on an unbiased list. The Beatles had 10 songs in the top 100 of Rolling Stones list of the best songs of all time and this was partly due to overemphasising early Rock and Pop music. Very few songs from the 90s onward were featured and none from the pre 1950s.Rap and Heavy Metal were underrepresented and non English language music was basically ignored. If you consider music as broadly as possible I think it is evident no artist could have 10 in the top 100.
