Let me first say this this list is NOT a duplicate of best rock bands, this list is for the genre Rock N Roll which is artists like Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley etc so please don't add bands that aren't in the genre.

Bruce Springsteen got it right when he said that Chuck Berry was Rock's greatest practitioner, guitarist and the greatest pure rock n roll songwriter that EVER lived!

He deserves number 1 he was one of the biggest pioneers of the genre

Chuck Berry is already #1 so I decided to vote for my other favourite instead. Had a tough time choosing between Little Richard and Bo Diddley.
