I do think Gaga references Madonna a lot in her work, however it doesn't really bother me. Gaga is a very talented musician. She will never be Madonna of course, but she doesn't need to be. Madonna has already achieved so much and broken down so many barriers, that it is hard to not copy her = she's already done EVERYTHING. I think with Madonna getting a little older and not having as much influence on the really young generation, it is good that we have someone like Gaga who can continue Madonna's message and help bring it to a new generation.
