Top 10 Attractions at Disney Parks that Disney Ruined

This list is about the attractions at Disney parks that Disney ruined, by closing to replace with garbage, or just retheming them into garbage.
The Top Ten
1 The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter - Magic Kingdom (1995-2003)

Disney ruined a classic, yet scary, attraction by closing it and turning it into the widely hated Stitch’s Great Escape.

2 Horizons - Epcot (1983-1999)

Disney ruined Horizons by closing it and turning into Mission: Space, which, while excellent by promoting space travel and simulating it, caused too much controversy with its effects on its guests, especially the 2 people who died.

I like mission space but horizons was definitely better

3 Snow White’s Scary Adventures - Magic Kingdom (1971-2012)

Disney ruined a classic attraction by closing it down and replacing it with Princess Fairytale Hall, which is a character meet and greet.

They ruined it by making it less scary back in 1994!

4 PeopleMover - Disneyland (1967-1995)

Disney ruined a classic ride by closing it down and turning into Rocket Rods, in which the structure cannot accommodate the speed and caused problems, so that was closed too, and nothing can or will ever replace it.

Rocket Rods was pretentious hot garbage.

5 Maelstrom - Epcot (1988-2014)

Disney ruined it by closing it and turning it into Frozen Ever After.

6 The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - Disneyland (2004-2017) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, also known as Tower of Terror, is an accelerated drop tower dark ride located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, Walt Disney Studios Park, and formerly located at Disney California Adventure Park. Except for the Tokyo DisneySea version, the attractions are inspired by Rod Serling's anthology television series, The Twilight Zone, and take place in the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel in Hollywood, California.

Disney ruined a masterpiece such as this by closing it down and retheming it into Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.

7 DisneyQuest - Disney Springs (1998-2017)

Disney ruined a wonderful place by closing it down and replacing it with the NBA, which nobody at Disney wants.

It's replacement has also since shut down, leaving only a big empty building. What does that tell you?

8 Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba - Disney Springs (1998-2017)
9 Journey Into Imagination - Epcot (1983-1998)

Journey into Your Imagination (the version that replaced it) looked like it was made entirely by uncivilized monkeys.

10 Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride - Magic Kingdom (1971-1998)
The Contenders
11 Planet Hollywood - Disney Springs (1994-2016)
12 The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm - Magic Kingdom (1996-2012)

Disney ruined a classic roller coaster by taking down the barn and retheming it into the Great Goofini.
In this version, you crash into a billboard instead of a barn and there is not so good scenery anymore like there used to be.
It makes sense that Disney closed down Mickey’s Toontown Fair for the New Fantasyland expansion, which would include Storybook Circus, which only fits with Dumbo and nothing else.
They treated it like Universal did to the original Dueling Dragons.
There was more meaning back then and it was my 1st roller coaster ever.

13 California Screamin - Disney California Adventure (2001-2018)
14 Splash Mountain - Disney's Magic Kingdom (1989-2022)

In yet another show of token woke-ism, they announced that it will become New Adventures With Princess Tiana. Never mind how inappropriate a *log flume* is for that movie.

15 Countdown to Extinction - Disney's Animal Kingdom (1998-2018)

Disney ruined it by replacing it with a much less scary DINOSAUR ride.
