Best Avenged Sevenfold Songs

The Contenders: Page 4

61 Fermi Paradox

The most brilliant track a7x recored so far, along with exist.

62 Waking the Fallen
63 Radiant Eclipse

This song is arguably one of the best on the album, almost giving off a bit of a doom metal vibe with the heavy intro, however, it quickly ramps back into the pacing more commonly recognized by sevenfold fans, and the vocals pick up. The percussion work is extremely well done, and the melodic parts of the song top it off very well. The vocals, whilst varying greatly, are amazing, and the lyrics are quite meaningful. Overall an incredible song

Criminally underrated. Excellent intro. Waking the fallen was their best album.

Like these people said: this song is EXTREMELY underrated. The epic intro, into the "radiant" octaves, into the verse... And then when the verse goes into the 1st chorus, with the octave guitars, an orgasmic appeal is shown through this kickassery. How this all ends with the guitar solo, and incredible vocal arrangements, this is by far THE MOST UNDERRATED song of all Avenged Sevenfold. It should be in the top 10 in my honest opinion.

My most favorite song ever. This song has the greatest chorus that was ever made in my opinion. Wish they would play it live though haha

65 Shattered by Broken Dreams

Simply epic. This song has everything! Shadows really shines in this one.

Perfect combination of screams and clean vocals. Doesn't get any better.

The most underlooked and underrated Avenged Sevenfold song. Such a beautiful sound and a song about friendship.

What is this doing in here. This is the best song about friendship. This song should be snoopy theme song

66 Doing Time

Even though this song is pretty short it's very powerful. It paints me a picture of Mob of the Dead from Call of duty, my 3rd favorite song from Hail to the king, it goes Hail to the King, Crimson Day, Doing Time, and Acid Rain. The rest of the songs on that album were pretty forgettable, but Doing Time is definitely one to go back to

The reason this song was on 63th is because the album is new.
Deserves top ten. With requiem

A striking song, going back into the more metal/ hard rock side of sevenfold, with an amazing intro, fast paced instrumental, and wailing vicals that make this song memorable, and a personal favourite on the album

Cool cool cool!

67 God Damn

Chorus is insane

68 Darkness Surrounding

This song has Jimmy's drum solo. 30 seconds of pleasure!

Why is this song so low on the list? One of the best songs by A7x. Rev's magical feet at it again.

Darkness coast us the smell of fall changing seasons

love it

69 I Won't See You Tonight, Pt. 2

Far from my favorite A7X song but it definitely shouldn't be in dead last on the list. It's got some really good guitar and screaming by M. Shadows. It's also pretty cool to listen to right after hearing part 1.

Far from by favorite sevenfold song, but I do like it a lot. It features some good screaming by M. Shadows and some good guitar. I also like how it's used in contrast with I Won't See You Tonight, Part 1. Definitely thought it should be added to the list for consideration.

An epic finisher to the first 'I wont see you tonight', this song ramps directly back into the harsh vocals and instrental we had all but forgotten about thanks to the previous half. The change is somewhat unexpected, but very well done, and most listeners quickly find themselves lost in the intensity of this song, especially with the incredible melody on the chorus.

Pt.1 was way better - christangrant

70 Paranoid

I might be being biased here, but whatever, I think this is a million times better than the original. Period.

No its not better than the original, please stop - imabigpotato

This song better than paranoid Black Sabbath version!

Totally agree

71 An Epic of Time Wasted

One of the best songs on the album, the pacing it created is absolutely incredible, and the guitar and vocals are extremely well done. The bridge is a very sudden shift of style being almost purely vocal, and clean at that, but then the guitar comes back in full force, making for an incredible outro with blended vocals and great riffing

A very epic song, the best song on Sounding the Seventh Trumpet (in my opinion)

Awesome song... Their album debut is very underrated...

Should be higher.

72 To End the Rapture

Can any body tell me why it isn't on top... That solo is blistering..2 lines of lyrics its awesome

Not their best song but it's so underrated you have to vote for it. People would like if they heard it

The first song done by synyster, and I'll be damned if it isn't an incredible introduction. The range of the notes is only reinforced by how melodically they flow, creating an incredible introductory shredding from a great guitarist

I do like this song, but when I first read the title and it said welcome to rapture, it made me think of Bioshock, they should have played this in the back ground on Bioshock on the first one. it would have gone great with the mood of entering the city of rapture.

73 Requiem

How is this song so low down. This is a killer song. Easily top 20 if not top 10

I like this song because it is creepy. Love a7x

This is intense! I love the tune - the guitars, the starting in latin. However it does creep me out a bit haha :D I still love it!

Best song on Hail to the King definitely in my top 5 A7X songs ever. I can't believe it's so low on the list.

74 Paradigm

When I listened to the album, this was the one song that I fell in love with the first time I heard it, the others took a bit more time. - Infwst

Such a good song... it has many elements and the vocals are great, the solo is just awesome and I just love this song so much.

Perfection. Especially that bridge. The screams, the superhuman vocals, the power in this song is insane.

My favorite song off The Stage

75 The Fight

The album that this song is on is highly looked over. The Fight and Until the End are the two best songs on the Diamonds in the Rough album in my opinion. This song definitely deserves to be much higher on the list because it's just awesome.

This song is great I'm surprised there where no comments this song is pretty great

It took me a while before I listened to this song, I didn't think it would be very good. Then I heard it and I still can't get it out of my head, enough said already!
