BABYMETAL are a Japanese pop/metal vocal and dance group, which was created as a subunit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, consisting of three teenage girls; Su-metal (lead vocals, dancing), Yuimetal (backing vocals, screaming, dancing), and Moametal (backing vocals, screaming, dancing). They've become a hit because of their extremely unique and catchy sound which fuses j-pop and heavy/extreme metal. They essentially find a way to make it sound both heavy and "cute" at the same time. They've even attracted the attention of well-known metal artists such as Matt Heafy (Trivium), Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), and Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass, Spiritual Beggars), having been seen in photos with each of the four. They released their self-titled debut album earlier this year, which consists of the singles they released from 2011-2013, their b-sides, and 3 new songs. They won me over with their music, and I'm here to make the list.
The Top Ten
1 Megitsune Megitsune Cover Art

The singing in this song is just amazing! The instrumental work is really catchy. And in the middle of the song, there's a great breakdown that would make you want to bang your head until it falls off!

AGREED! indeed this is "Their Album's Very Best! " single. Headbanger is the second best.
In my opinion this is their Best Song Of All Time! Their first album is the best there's numerous favorite singles. This is the song the define what Babymetal is.

The song is awesome and better than Justin Beiber's Baby. Hmm, I wonder how the song will when Justin Beiber sings it. Oh why do I need to start it will suck anyway. The song was totally epic.

This song is insane I can hear it over and over again. In fact it's addicting, catchy and powerful song. This makes the song the best song perform by babymetal. Rock on!

2 Ijime, Dame, Zettai Ijime, Dame, Zettai Cover Art

IDZ is a perfect demonstration of everything that makes BABYMETAL awesome. Incredible vocals, outstanding choreography, mind-blowing instrumentals, and extremely meaningful lyrics with an important message (No More Bullying Forever). Throw in the fact that it opens with a Wall of Death, and this is easily their best song in my opinion.

The thing about this song that won me over was the instrumental work. Very power metal/melodic death metal-esque music. The singing, again, is amazing.

I really don't think you could beat this song. Seriously, it's too epic. Song of the year even, maybe.

Their best song. Instrumental on point and good lyrics. Hope BabyMetal continue like this.

3 Head Bangya!!

Catchy, but stays true to the metal genre. Watch the live video and the ending is actually pretty neat. Even if you're against the cute dancing aspect, it's still a great song.

As the title suggests, it's a real headbanger of a song. The music is very reminiscent of Children of Bodom in my opinion, and the vocal performance is, dare I say, kawaii as hell!

I love the melody, especially in the middle where it gets really brutal but abruptly turns calmer.

4 Road of Resistance Road of Resistance Cover Art

This song is powerful and uplifting while at the same time being insanely fun to listen to. It's one of the few songs I would give a perfect ten out of ten to, and that's completely disregarding the fact that it also introduced me to DragonForce.

Awesome guitars. Most heavy tan any other Babymetal song.

Queen Su joins the chat.
Moses leaves the chat.

Epic for live performance

5 Akatsuki Akatsuki Cover Art

This is a truly majestic power metal song. The guitar work in the song is amazing, the drumming is on point, and Su-metal's voice is absolutely mesmerizing. She's just 16, and she's already a better singer that the majority of literally almost every female singer today. Incredible song.

Suzuka Nakamoto. Wow! Such a beautiful, pure and haunting voice. This solo shows her true talent. I had the privilege of hearing it/seeing it Live in The Forum, London. on BM world tour. It was stunning.

Just a perfect song my all time favorite, you can really feel the emotion but still powerful

Awesome Song. Su's vocals are beautiful and amazing. Truly one of their best.

6 Karate Karate Cover Art

The opening riff is godly. I swear, the Kami band does not get enough credit. But then the chorus is incredible. This song really is a masterpiece.

Not as hyper as Gimme chocolate but a good strong set of drawn vocals and backing guitars. Definitely a song that makes me want to slow roll.

This is the only song I like by them. It's an interesting song that's for sure.

Tops all the BM songs and perfect dance mix showing off their cute karate skills also.

7 Gimme Chocolate!! Gimme Chocolate!! Cover Art

Christan "the ignorant" grant, this is a song made for fun. These girls are teenagers, you can't expect them to make songs about politics, war, or experiences because they don't have any. Lighten up, will ya?

This is better than everything beforehand on this list in my opinion.

This is so catchy and fun... I love it!

The song that went viral and made BM world famous

8 Iine! Iine! Cover Art

This one is a lot more poppy and techy than their other ones. Shifts from techno, then to a cute little hip-hop section, and immediately into a brutal breakdown!

Best song in my opinion

9 No Rain, No Rainbow
10 Doki Doki ☆ Morning Doki Doki ☆ Morning Cover Art

Another kawaii metal masterpiece! And I believe this was their first single ever.

"Doki doki morning" is the best song "babymetal" offered...

The Contenders
11 Tales of the Destinies Tales of the Destinies Cover Art

I love how they put a little of The One in here to make it sound a little peppier and then a techno piece in the middle. The piano at the end is the most beautiful part, though.

12 Catch Me If You Can Catch Me If You Can Cover Art

Awesome melody in the chorus. really nice nu metal sound with a very good homage to classic slipknot. it's a super fun and catchy song with overall their BEST dance routine of all their songs, and represents all the members well. and like a BABYMETAL song should do, it has the PERFECT mix of kawaii and metal. My favorite BABYMETAL song and one of my favorite songs of all time!

This riff reminds us metalheads of old school Slipknot. Pretty good song.

Sound like slipknot 'sic'

13 The One The One Cover Art
14 Babymetal Death Babymetal Death Cover Art

The opener to their album and a b-side to the Ijime Dame Zettai single, this is basically their "theme" song. The only vocal performance there is are the chanting of "Hey! " and the three girls each saying their stage name followed by a unanimous "Babymetal desu! ". I like it because it's one that would really get a crowd pumped for the rest of the live set and because the music sounds really Arch Enemy/old In Flames-esque. Great song!

My mistake. The chanting in the song is actually the band's name being spelled out. It took literally forever for me to get that.

15 Amore Amore Cover Art

Best babymetal song in my humble opinion

16 Awadama Fever Awadama Fever Cover Art

Accompanied by the most mesmerizing dance moves in the history of dance.

17 Rondo of Nightmare Rondo of Nightmare Cover Art

I like this song a lot,
Meshuggah + Clean voice = Rondo of Nightmare.

Really heavy and dark song. Almost sounds like Periphery.

18 Onedari Daisakusen Onedari Daisakusen Cover Art

LOve this song.

19 Uki Uki ★ Midnight Uki Uki ★ Midnight Cover Art

This is the bestt

This is the most excite song of BABYMETAL. Phrase of “Climax” kills me.

21 Syncopation
22 GJ! GJ! Cover Art

Hits the spot!

23 Sis. Anger Sis. Anger Cover Art

cute girls with a brutal song is just a deadly combination

Black Babymetal! Brutal song

24 Yava Yava Cover Art

One of the most underrated songs.. This song has one of the best choreography in every single Babymetal track.. Tune is catchy too.

Amazing choreography, Must be seen on live. Very very underrated

25 From Dusk Till Dawn From Dusk Till Dawn Cover Art

This may be a bit different type of song than other Babymetal songs. Nonetheless, it is very cool and, as the only live performance in LA in 2017 shows, the song garners such a strong momentum with slow dances and Su's incredible shout at the beginning.

Shocked that this wasn't even in the list. They only have 2 albums. Must have been a mistake, let alone this being their best song, and one of the most jawdropping songs I've ever heard. Somehow, Babymetal has pulled it off.
