Top 10 Most Badass Boss Battles In Video Games

The Top Ten
1 Sans - Undertale Sans or Sans the Skeleton is a character in the 2015 RPG Undertale created by Toby Fox. He is a lazy, pun-loving skeleton who is a supporting protagonist in the "pacifist" and "neutral" routes of Undertale, and a heroic antagonist/final boss of the "genocide" route. He is known for his incredibly difficult boss fight, bad puns, and the phrases "geeetttt dunked on!!!" and "you're gonna have a bad time." He is also named after the font "comic sans." Known for also being Ness from the Mother series. (known as Earthbound in Western territories.)

Sans fully deserves #1. Not only does he attack you first (unlike every other boss in Undertale, where you get the first turn) with one of his STRONGEST attacks (pretty much guaranteeing death on your first attempt), Sans shows as little mercy as the player shows in reaching this battle. He dodges all your attacks. His own attack patterns do one damage for every frame of animation you touch them, negating invincibility frames. He OHKOs you if you try to spare him (when he gives you the chance). He attacks you as you NAVIGATE THE BATTLE MENU. And eventually, he tries trapping you in his turn. Meaning that he keeps having his turn until you give up. And above all else, the boss theme for Sans is one of the most epic music pieces of all time: Megalovnia.

Haven't played the game personally but I know how hard it is. I play Bad Time simulators and I can't even beat those. I suck, though, so...

Holy crap I did not expect him to be so high on the list

Sans is the down right most badass character,Sans is like.Spare me,Nah my brother is already dead Get dunnk on.he's also very chill and very smart when I comes to fighting.he's the only character I know who can go through time warps.

2 Mike Tyson - Punch-Out!

That makes no sense.

3 Jubileus - Bayonetta
4 Henry Cooldown - No More Heroes
5 Dark Bowser and Fawful - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

My Favourite RPG Final Boss Ever, I mean Sans is cool and funny and all, But his death is not satisfying at all. But with Dark Bowser/Fawful's Death, It felt like they deserved to die in the first place. Besides, you have to die so many times to beat Sans. Dark Bowser and Fawful? I beat them on my like 5th try.

The theme song makes it dramatic and gives you the feeling that you NEED to save the world. I almost cried when I listened to it!

The theme makes it cooler

6 Lavos - Chrono Trigger
7 Meta Ridley - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
8 Undyne The Undying - Undertale Undyne is a main character in Toby Fox's 2015 RPG, Undertale. She is the heroic fishlike captain of the Royal Guard, who takes it upon herself to protect the monsters of the Underground. Her name is derived from the word "Undine", and is a pun on the word "Undying". Her most loved monsters are her mentor, King Asgore, her best friend, Papyrus, and her love interest, Alphys.

I can't even get past them, it's so hard. With awesome music, a character who wants to kill you for your horrible sins, and insane attacks, I'd easily put them further than sans.

Ridiculous fight. I can't imagine what it's like.

9 Shao Kahn - Mortal Kombat
10 Ballos - Cave Story Ballos is a character in the video game "Cave Story." He is a powerful magician who was sealed away due to his misuse of dark magic. Ballos is both tragic and menacing, serving as a formidable final boss in the game. He embodies themes of power, corruption, and the consequences of unchecked ambition, contributing to the game's intricate narrative.

This is it. You went through hell and a giant robot and it all comes down to this. To save the island. That dog told you to "kill his master", and here he is, it's time for the Last Battle.

Welcome! I am ballos!

The Contenders
11 Giant Baby Bowser - Yoshi's Island
12 Sephiroth - Final Fantasy VII Sephiroth is a fictional character and main antagonist in the role-playing video game Final Fantasy VII developed by Square.
13 Gwyn - Dark Souls

A little more depressing than badass, honestly.

14 Asriel Dreemurr - Undertale Asriel Dreemurr is a character from the 2015 game Undertale. He was created by Toby Fox.

Asriel is the child of King Asgore Dreemurr and Queen Toriel, but he seemingly passed away prior to the game's events. His backstory is only focused on in the True Pacifist Route, which means the player does not kill a single character. As a young child, he was a close friend of Chara, a human child who... read more

23 Omega Flowey - Undertale

Very intense and makes me get headaches due to weird types of graphics. It is so weird and scary!

I came here to vote for dark bowser, but I widh I had voted for this

24 Akuma - Street Fighter Akuma known as Gouki in Japan is a character of the Street Fighter series and recurring antagonist, first appearing in Super Street Fighter II Turbo as a hidden character and boss who could be summoned after certain conditions were met, an emotionless and powerful warrior fixated on mastering the Satsui no Hado also known as the Dark Hado, he became selectable for the first time in Street Fighter Alpha 2 and would also go on to appear in many other Street Fighter games as well as crossovers even appearing as a special guest character in Tekken 7.

Way harder than Sans, Akuma will kick your ass over and over and over again
