Top Ten Most Badass Female Movie Characters

The Top Ten Most Badass Female Movie Characters

1 Ellen Ripley (Alien) Ellen Louise Ripley is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Alien film series played by American actress Sigourney Weaver.

She is awesome my favorite part when she ecountered Alien Queen

Ripley for the win!

Natasha, Ripley, Furiosa, the Bride, Sarah, Trinity, Gamora, And Sattler should be above Katniss! The only reason why people call her bad ass is because of how popular those Overrated Shaky-cam exposed forgettable Hunger Games movies are! Natasha and Ripley have the respect that I've never given Katniss! But she always higher! When I've seen way better Female protagonists like Elsa and Sonya Blade that are a million times better than her!

She's Awesome - JPK

2 Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games) Katniss Everdeen is a fictional character and the protagonist of The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. She is portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence in the film adaptation franchise.

Katniss is not overrated, horribly acted and boring! Katniss is strong, determined and very brave!

Boring and horribly acted

Katniss should be number 1 - thalia_thatsme

3 Black Widow (The Avengers) Natalia Alianovna Romanoff, most known as Natasha Romanoff or the Black Widow, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is one of the most talented spies and assassins in the entire world and is a founding member of the Avengers. The character was created more.

Black Widow is my favourite character in Marvel! So sad she died!

Shame she didn't get her own movie unlike captain marvel
Edit in 2020 she finally is getting her movie - Dvafan2

"Hey sailor." Proceeds to kick ass

Black Widow is one of my favorite Marvel superheroes.

4 The Bride (Kill Bill)

Definitely number one! Did you see all the badass people she killed over two movies? Sometimes she would be fighting a whole room full and come out on top.

What? SHOULD BE ON #1! 111

5 Princess Leia (Star Wars) Princess Leia Organa, later known as General Leia Organa, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed in films by Carrie Fisher.

I literally voted for her so I could tell you how terrible she is. How Does She Help for the millionth time sure she gave the message but besides that she is useless. She is a weight to the protagonists

"Somebody has to save our skins", Leia said as she effortlessly made three Star Wars icons jump into a garbage chute. So yeah, I think you get a pretty good idea on how high her badass-level is, oh and that was after having to endure an hour of torture from Vader (her birth father as it turns out) plus having to watch her entire home planet getting blown up. Preach for Leia, the princess, rebel, general and icon of all the icons!

She rescued Han Solo, She killed Jabba The Hutt, she is feisty, sassy, savvy, and strong. She makes sure she gets her way and she does not take crap from anybody, she knows what she is doing, this is a princess you cannot mess with!

Just watch the movie. She is the best.

6 Sarah Connor (The Terminator)

Just how is that Bow and arrow brat more bad ass than Sarah?

7 Park Nam-joo (The Host)
8 Mary O'Donnell (Don't Turn the Other Cheek)

She can beat about 20 Zapata soldiers with her bare hands. Now that's badass.

My mistake. Zapata was a good guy. I should say Huerta soldiers. - SourNote2014

9 Trinity (The Matrix)

Her amazing comeback such as "Dodge this." Or "Touch me, and that hand will never touch anything again."

When she was driving the motorcycle...

10 Marge Gunderson (Fargo)

The Contenders

11 Susan Cooper (Spy)

She's much tougher than she seems. - SourNote2014

12 Hit-Girl (Kick-Ass) Hit-Girl is a fictional character appearing in the Kick-Ass series, published by Marvel Comics under the company's imprint Icon Comics.

She looks like Stephanie from LazyTown but fights like a tiger. - SourNote2014

The shootout at the bad guy's place is exactly choreographed identically to a scene from one of the Clint Eastwood "Dollars" movies, right down to the music. She is channeling "the Man with No Name", who Eastwood later revealed to be "The Angel of Death".

Most badass moment; this 11-year old girl appears at the bad guys' hideout in a schoolgirl outfit, and Enrico Morricone music starts playing in the background, so you feel it coming.
She calmly kills the 3 adult male guards, including an ice-cold finish shot.

Would take down ANY of the other females on this list who don't have some kind of Super Powers.

13 April O'Neil (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) April O'Neil is a character from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a TV reporter and personal friend of the turtles.
14 Elizabeth Sherman (Hellboy II)
15 Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)

In my opinion Hermione is the greatest wizard of her time...harry potter has a legacy and he managed to escape from dangers most of the times by luck but Hermione has no legacy her parents are 'muggles' I think and she is the best at spells how many times she saved my vote for Hermione Granger.

She's the brainy girl who knows every spell and was able to escape a Deatheater! And she's no pushover witch, either! She can fight!

She is the best

16 Alice (Resident Evil)

That was a good one

17 Alita (Alita: Battel Angel)

Alita is more of a badass character than Captain Marvel.

And also, there's a typo in the title above...

She should be higher than katniss. She fights people even if she broke apart (spoliers) she fights grewishka she gets torn apart in the movie and she still fights him. She fights even though everyone is against her. She shoulf definitely be higher than some girl with a bow and arrow and rey. Also she has way more character than most of this list. - Dvafan2

18 Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman) Wonder Woman is a fictional superhero created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character is a founding member of the Justice League, a goddess, and Ambassador-at-Large of the Amazon people. In her homeland, the island nation more.

Umm why 43 she literally walked in front of a machine gun and fought a demon who would end the world and won - Dvafan2

The strongest of superheroines ever

19 Mikaela Banes (Transformers) Mikaela Banes is a fictional character from the Transformers universe who appears in Transformers and Transformers 2: Revenge.

She may be eye candy, but she's useful eye candy. She rescued Sam and herself from the Secret Service, repaired Bumblebee mid-battle so he could fight, actively went undercover to infiltrate someplace, and saved Sam from a Pretender by ramming into it with her car.

I'll give Carly for standing up to Megatron, but that's pretty much all she was good for. - SourNote2014

Sorry about the Ninja Turtles item, it should be April O'Neil not just Megan Fox.

20 Susan Murphy (Monsters vs. Aliens)
21 Letty Ortiz (The Fast and the Furious)
22 Clarice Starling (The Silence of the Lambs)

Officer Starling deserves to be higher on this list by a long shot. She survives the psychological manipulation of Hannibal Lecter several times, defeats a notorious serial killer, and defies the system by proving that she can excel in a male-dominated field.

Why Clarice is #62 in this list. She should be hightest rank in this list. She can beat a serial killer who skins his victims, confront another serial killer without lost her insanity and she's so smart and she have a tragical past of her life. She's the most badass female character.

23 Carolyn McAdams (Flight of the Navigator)

Can't get much better than Sarah Jessica Parker on Flight of the Navigator as a NASA intern. - RockFashionista

Very cool film and Miho is really a badass!
