Eh they had a good sound but not so much lyrically I mean John Lennon and Paul McCartney were good singers but a lot of their lyrics are about holding hands they were basically the first pop rock band. Still though they had good songs while they lasted...

Game, Set, Match. Nobody- not Queen, not Pink Floyd, nobody except Bob Dylan is close. It is a joke to even think otherwise.

They should be in this list just for A Day In The Life

Hey its Beatles, who are known for their lyrics!

2 Queen Queen are an English rock band formed in London in 1970. The original lineup was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar, vocals). Freddie Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate stage and recording techniques. He then joined the band in 1970, suggested "Queen" as a new band name, and adopted his familiar stage name. John Deacon was also recruited to complete the line-up. ...read more.

"We will rock you" isn't the best Queen line, it's ridiculous to say that. Would it be correct if I say the best Beatles line is "Let it be"- pleasant but pretty meaningless?
The quoted Beatles line about making love is very good and I understand its idea. But if we implement this advice into the real life it's not gonna work - people who need to make too much love are called sex addicts and they get medical help, not love.

This band is probably the best when it comes to writing lyrics RIP Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to love, Show must go on, Innuendo...etc.

What kind of a lowlife would get a sex addiction interpretation from that Beatle lyric?

15 Blind Guardian Blind Guardian is a German power metal band formed in the mid-1980s in West Germany. They are often credited as one of the seminal and most influential bands in the power metal and speed metal subgenres. Heavily influenced by Queen, they use the technique of overdubbing. They also incorporate large amounts of orchestral arrangements. Hansi Kürsch creates a huge choir effect by overdubbing his own voice multiple times in complex, overlapping harmonies. Thanks to overdubs and numerous backing vocals Blind Guardian stand out with a very dense sound.
