Top 10 Bands that Aren't Really Unique as People Claim

Some people claim these bands are unique and I don't see why cause their not. Please note this is just my opinion so avoid raging ok?
The Top Ten
1 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock. Page states it was Keith Moon of The Who that claimed the band could only go down, like a lead balloon -- thus prompting the iconic name of Led Zeppelin. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors ...read more.

"If you don't want to read contrary opinions, discussions and arguments..." Wow. There's a real disconnect, here. It's not a matter of not wanting to read such things. It's a matter of not letting error, and often pure nonsense, go unchallenged. There seems to be real aversion to debate on this site, due, in no small part, to the inability to defend assertions and opinions, and worse, the prevailing belief that an opinion should be honored simply because someone holds it. All opinions are not equal. If an opinion is not founded on some factual basis, if it has no connection to objective reality, it is worthless.

As has been mentioned, there is not such thing as a "unique" band or artist. An even larger point has been brought up, the propensity of TTT's largely mid-teens posters to their opinion is valid just because they hold it. Furthermore, they feel that dissenting opinion holds no value when compared to theirs. This is the primary reason that a few years ago, lists routinely got 1,000, 10,000, or even 100,000 votes. Now its lucky if a list gets 100 votes, everybody just left and did not come back.

Yes, they are really #1 - many of their most popular songs are uncredited covers (Dazed And Confused, Whole Lotta Love, In My Time of Dying, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, I Can't Quit You, Baby, and many more).
Some other songs have significant ripped off sections (Stairway To Heaven, The Lemon Song, Since I've Been Loving You, and many more).

Led zeppelin is one of my favorite bands but I am ready to accept it that if they plagiarized other's songs instead of arguing for over and over.cause I won't stop listening their songs. it's their's (led zeppelin's members) own problem.I live my own life and enjoy stairway to heaven's solo, I have got other problems to solve.

"The sound is replaceable..." Maybe you mean "can be duplicated." Almost anything can be duplicated. But if you actually READ the comment, you'd have noticed it said "close to unique...in the early 70s."
If it were to be "replaced," that would be SUBSEQUENTLY, now wouldn't
It? And so, as stated, it was "close to unique" at. the. time. Capice? You really should try to pay better attention.

In the early 70s, Cooper and company were about as close to unique as there was. Only somewhat similar act was fronted by Arthur Brown.

Alice Cooper isn't really unique the sound is replaceable and the singing's ok but not special or different.

12 The Doors The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore.

For once I agree with this one. The Doors were influenced by British bands like The Beatles, The Zombies etc... They certainly didn't invented a new style. You only hear that it is The Doors because of Jim Morrisson's voice, otherwise... (? )

"They are good at playing with guitars, I guess." Seems all you can do is guess. AC/DC is immediately recognizable, which sets them apart from most bands. The word "unique" is often misused, as it is on this list. It means literally "one of a kind." Exclusive. NONE other exactly like it.
Can't think of ANY band from any era that qualifies. "Playing with guitars."
You're not a musician, are you?

ACDC isn't unique but they are good at playing with guitars I guess.

If you look at it, they were just one of the first boy bands. They just made music that was critically acclaimed and commercially successful.

They made Rock music exist so their kinda unique and without them a lot of good Rock music wouldn't be relevant.

Why its twice on this list?

Green day aren't unique, but hold on,who said they are unique? so they don't fit in the list.
