Synyster at best is. Mediocre and Zacky is again just mediocre so overall this band is undeserving of number 1, only reason they are is because The Rev died. - christangrant

Avenged Sevenfold started pretty low, but not they are in the top ten in EVERYTHING!

SYN ZACKY V = KICK ASS solos and great rhythms

We really do have the best guitarist, with amazing melody and speed

The ordering of this list might just be the worst I have ever seen... - christangrant

7 Megadeth Megadeth Megadeth is an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California. Megadeth was formed in 1983 by guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson, shortly after Mustaine was fired from Metallica. They have released 15 studio albums to date, and have gone through many lineup changes, with Dave more.

Except for Jeff Young Dave Always played with good lead guitarists:Slayer's Kerry King, Chris Poland, guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman, Chris Broderick, etc.
Dave and Marty were the best duo ever though, Dave's angry, fast thrash metal riffing with Marty's angelic neo-classical shredding gave incredible results, like in Lucretia, Hangar 18 or Tornado of Souls.

Broderick is one of the better guitarists. He has that two-handed tapping skill to add to his musical arsenal. You can't overlook his talent and actual music schooling he has achieved to become this good.

Although I'm somewhat partial to Van Halen, Eddie is truly legendary and should at least come right behind Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.

Van Halen should easily be in the top 3.
Eddie Van Halen is the greatest and most influential guitar player since Hendrix.

9 Cacophony

Jason Becker and Marty Friedman, the neo-classical style duo - Metal_Treasure

10 Jimi Hendrix Experience

As good as Slash is, Hendrix was not only more influential and more skill-full, his riffs (Voodoo Chile, Hey Joe et al) are more memorable and are just better. BTW, why are Zep and Queen not on this list?
