2 Symphony X Symphony X is an American progressive metal band from Middletown, New Jersey. Founded in 1994, the band consists of guitarist Michael Romeo, keyboardist Michael Pinnella, drummer Jason Rullo, lead vocalist Russell Allen and bassist Michael Lepond.

They share similarities in style but they also have a very power metal sound. I recommend to just listen to The Odyssey and experience it whole.

Russell Allen is a great singer

3 Porcupine Tree Porcupine Tree are an English progressive rock band formed by musician Steven Wilson in 1987. The band began essentially as a solo project for Wilson, who created all of the band's music.

Both came from similar influences, I recommend their songs Open Car, Arriving Somewhere But Not Here and Trains to have a good variety of their styles.

This list makes me feel sad because it reminds me of naFroviuS.

4 Leprous Leprous is a Norwegian progressive metal band formed in 2001 in Notodden, Norway. The band gained prominence as the backing band for former Emperor frontman Ihsahn's live shows.
