The Beatles deserve their spot more than any other band. They revolutionized music, produced a large amount of quality music in a short amount of time, delving into many different genres. John Lennon and Paul McCartney are GENIUSES and George Harrison isn't a bad songwriter himself. Best band ever.

This website makes zero sense to me. This is just about the same list as the overrated list. What's the deal? The same thing goes with the top comedians and the most overrated comeadians. They're about the same list with different titles that contradict each other. This whole website is one big clueless contradiction.

I understand that overrated does not mean bad, it just means that they are overpraised. However, calling The Beatles overrated is stupid. Call me bias because I like The Beatles, but it is without a doubt a fact that they changed music, paved way for others to come, and made history.

The Beatles are extremely overrated, but some of you guys need to keep in mind is that overrated and bad are two completely different things. It just means they're praised a lot, which was definitely the case for The Beatles, still to this day decades later.

I'd call these guys the greatest band of all time. I definitely don't think they're overrated.

Pink Floyd is awesome, and I don't understand how anyone can call them overrated.

Obviously the best rock band of all time with the amazing Freddie Mercury and not with Adam Lambert.

One direction isn't that overrated. In my opinion, they actually deserve the fame. Haters just don't like them because they're more good looking and talented. I mean "You and I" isn't such a bad song and so is "Perfect". Also, you got to admit, "Best song Ever" is actually pretty catchy.

One direction is seriously a underrated band. They can sing, but unfortunately they do use a lot of auto-tune. One direction has songs will never die!

What about "if I could fly" or "home" "you and i" "night changes" "olivia"? One direction is not at all overrated...they deserve their fame

You hopefully don't mean that one direction deserves more fame than, for example, Grateful Dead

7 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock. Page states it was Keith Moon of The Who that claimed the band could only go down, like a lead balloon -- thus prompting the iconic name of Led Zeppelin. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors ...read more.

Led Zeppelin is the definition of rock n roll. There aren't many bands that are as talented or who put out as many classics as Zeppelin did.

I'm not saying they're not good, because they are very twlented, but they are a bit overrated

They deserve to be at least number 2 on that list

Led Zeppelin is pretty much the definition of classic rock from the 70s

Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band.

Awww hell no. AC/DC is EASILY the most overrated rock band. Even if Johnson was Freddie Mercury, AC/DC would still not stack up against bands like Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen, definitely Leppard, or Bon Jovi.

I think it's become very fashionable to call The Who overrated, but I never considered them to be overrated, and here's why they are NOT overrated:
1. They're actually underrated. They're one of the most important rock bands ever, up there with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones! Definitely a better band than they're given credit for. If not for The Who, rock music would be 50 years behind!
2. Being popular doesn't make an artist overrated. Just because everyone has heard of this band doesn't mean that they're overrated!
3. I'm a big fan of their music. I have always liked their music and the music of many other artists, so it's impossible for me to call them overrated!

Anyone who has actually listened to this band knows that they're great and not overrated! In fact, they're one of the most influential rock bands of all time, so to call them overrated is like calling Nikola Tesla overrated!
Just ask anyone out there and they'll tell you that this band is one of the most important in rock music!

They're not overrated at all. If not for bands like The Who, rock music wouldn't as we know it today!

Just because everyone knows them doesn't mean they're overrated!
