Bands that Don't Deserve to Be in the ''Worst Poser Metal Bands'' List

The ''Worst Poser Metal Bands'' list is one of the worst metal lists in this site. Lots of bands in the list are not even metal and the other bands that are metal don't deserve to be there at all.In my opinion that list should not exist at all, I hate the word ''Poser'' and I even made a list why it should stop being used so much in Metal.
The Top Ten

Most of the entries are troll items ("trolls are good", "no reason to hate trolls", - you understand I'm being sarcastic and I'm mocking some absurd and nonsensical ideas on this site that are currently trending )

I don't think any of these bands should be called "poser." It's mostly their fans to be honest. And Judas Priest is definitely metal.

A band can still make good music even after "selling out"

Cannibal Corpse may have a lot of "fans" who blast their music in public just to make people cringe and to boast on how "edgy" and "brutal" they are, and consequently gave death metal a somewhat bad name, but that still doesn't change the fact that Cannibal Corpse is a real metal band. Not poser.

99% of Linkin Park fans think they ARE metal and constantly argue with me on metal lists. So I think Linkin Park should be on that list. Same for Korn, Disturbed, System of a Down, Five Finger Death Punch, and the like.

There's no such thing as a poser band. Only poser fans. And being a poser is more than just liking Asking Alexandria and Linkin Park and calling yourself a "metalhead."

Most of their songs sound more Punk Rock than metal. Heck, I wouldn't even describe them as Nu-Metal! - TheDarkOne_221b

11 Dragonforce DragonForce are a British power metal band based in London, England. Formed in 1999, the group are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics, and electronic sounds in their music to add to their retro video game-influenced sound.

DF is real metal. Just because they're more "mainstream" than other power metal bands does not make them any more posers. And no, they do not fake their sound either. Unless if you have proof that they do.

12 Disturbed Disturbed is an American alternative metal/nu-metal/hard rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band comprises vocalist David Draiman, bassist John Moyer, guitarist Dan Donegan, and drummer Mike Wengren. They are known for songs like "Down With the Sickness" and "Stricken".

The band's current lineup includes founding members Jonathan Davis, James "Munky" Shaffer, Brian "Head" Welch, and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, with the addition of Ray Luzier, who replaced the band's original member, David Silveria in 2007. Jonathan Davis explicitly stated that they never considered themselves a metal band even though they use downtuned guitars. They consider metal as in Judas Priest and Iron Maiden

14 Poison Poison is an American glam and hard rock band that achieved great commercial success in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s.

Read the article under the band name: "Poison is an American hair/glam METAL band that achieved great commercial success in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s." This is a quote from wiki and Poison obviously didn't ask wiki to remove the word "metal". So I think Poison should be on that list.

15 My Chemical Romance My Chemical Romance is an American rock band from Jersey City, New Jersey, active from 2001 to 2013, and again from 2019 to present day. For much of their career, the band consisted of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way, and drummer Bob Bryar.

I have never heard anyone claim they are metal so they are not relevant to the list.

They are on the list but they are not metal.

Well, it is true that their style did sound a little more mainstream after Century Child, but that doesn't make them posers. Try Imaginaerum album.

20 Manowar Manowar is an American power metal band from New York City, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy and mythology. They have been a significant influence in the history of metal, especially in genres such as power metal, symphonic metal, Viking metal, war metal, folk metal, doom metal, and death metal. They are also known for their slogan, "Death to false metal."

Yes, they did start the entire "death to all false metal" trope that encouraged many metal elitists, but they are still influential in power metal, so they are not posers.

21 Twisted Sister Twisted Sister was an American heavy metal band originally from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based in Long Island, New York.

Yes, they are labeled as a hair metal band, but among most other hair bands TS is actually metal to some extent.

22 Cradle of Filth Cradle of Filth are a British extreme metal band that formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles.

Poser black metal? Maybe. But they are still a real metal band.
