Top 10 Bands Everyone is Sick of Hearing About

I don't hate any of the bands listed below at all. It's just that everyone in the world (including me) is so sick and tired of hearing about these groups all the time. These are the most overrated bands that get way too much attention and their songs are played so much that it just makes you not wanna listen to them ever again (and keep in mind, overrated does NOT equal bad).
The Top Ten
1 The Beatles The Beatles were an English pop rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were soon known as the foremost and most influential act of rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. ...read more.

Even though I like The Beatles, I have to somewhat agree with you hear. I don't think they were the best band of the 60s, or the best Psychedelic band. Although I would definitely say I like The Beatles way better than The Rolling Stones personally.

I really don't like the way every, EVERY band is automatically compared to them. I mean there's so many better bands it hurts. Plus everything they ever did is kinda pure plagiarism.

Literally the most overrated band in all of history. I personally don't find their music to be anything special and I just wish I'd stop hearing about them all the time!

OI you cannot bash The Beatles.
They are one of the greatest, one of the first bands I heard when I was a kid.
If you don't live there then go to Liverpool it is cool. I'm waiting for Brookside to come back.

2 Nirvana Nirvana was an American grunge band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana disbanded after Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The drummer of the band, David Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters, an alternative rock band. ...read more.

World's most overrated grunge band here. They're really nothing special and Kurt himself didn't even wanna be a superstar or anything.

This deserves to be number 1, not the Beatles. In fact, the Beatles don't even belong on this list.

Grunge bands are complete garbage in my personal opinion, so this band I don't care for.

I'm not even a fan of Nirvana.

3 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock. Page states it was Keith Moon of The Who that claimed the band could only go down, like a lead balloon -- thus prompting the iconic name of Led Zeppelin. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors ...read more.

Another one I have to somewhat agree with you on, although I defiantly still like them, I don't like them as much anymore. Now, I'm way more into Psychedelic music than Hard Rock. In my personal opinion, which may be biased, you decide, I feel that Psychedelic music will age better in future decades, than 70s Hard Rock, I just find it way more creative in my opinion, and that might translate into aging better, but that may just be me.

They are already forgotten amongst new music fans. I hardy find anyone who listen to Led Zeppelin. At least to my age. Everybody talks about Eminem or Fifth Harmony. Or Metallica and Iron Maiden if someone listens to rock.

Their legacy is already dying because of their constant plagiarism. I doubt anyone is gonna still like them in the next decade.

Literally everyone talks about then and attacks you if you don't like them that much.

4 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American alternative rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The current members include Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (DJ), and Rob Bourdon (drums). Linkin Park is associated with a mixture of alternative rock, hip hop, and techno. Some of their influences include Nine Inch Nails, Deftones,... read more

The most overrated band of the 2000s. Nobody really seems to like them anymore and I understand why. I actually used to like them when I was a kid, but as I got older I found stuff that was way better so I was like "Why am I bothering with this? "

They're not bad, but just overrated.

5 One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and ...read more.

They're not even that good.

So overrated

The group came into mainstream from their Self-Titled album and the hit single "Enter Sandman".

With their first two albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning reaching underground success, their third effort, Master of Puppets has since become one of the most important heavy metal albums ever, as it became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. The title track has since become the band's most played song live. ...read more.

Not just everyone is sick hearing about them but also sick of seeing their T-Shirts. Metallica here, metallica there, blah blah. Two piece boring drum beats.

Most overrated metal band in history. I find their songs to be incredibly uninteresting, and I can't even forgive them for making St. Anger and Lulu.

I like their first four albums waaay too much to ever dislike them.

7 Queen Queen are an English rock band formed in London in 1970. The original lineup was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar, vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate stage and recording techniques. He then joined the band in 1970, suggested "Queen" as a new band name, and adopted his familiar stage name. John Deacon was also recruited to complete the line-up. ...read more.

They have some good songs. But they're overrated. We Will Rock You is the most overplayed garbage ever recorded and a lot of their other stuff is just as bad. I get they experimented a lot, and they hit some home runs, but they also swung and missed on much more. No way should they be even considered as one of the all-time great rock bands.

Depends on which song. This band has a lot of good underrated songs. And they're not as overrated as the Beatles. They're too high on the list in my opinion. They don't derserve this.

Pretty decent band, but I'm getting tired of hearing their songs all the time. They're played too much.

I'm really tired of hearing their songs everywhere, I never liked this band and never will.

8 Twenty One Pilots Twenty One Pilots is an American musical duo that is originally from Columbus, Ohio, who are best known for their songs "Stressed Out", "Heathens" and "Ride". Currently there are two members, Tyler Joseph (lead vocals, piano, keyboards, synthesizers, ukulele, bass and guitar) and Josh Dun (drums and ...read more.

Twenty One Pilots are so overrated. So many people talk about how good they are, but I don't feel it. In my opinion they are just another another Alt/Indie/Pop band out of many of those bands out there. Their fanbase is rabid as well.

Why isn't this number 1? As a middle schooler, I barely even hear that much about The Beatles. This is the closest thing there is to my schoolmates liking rock.

How is this under LP and Nirvana. I rather listen them than this mediocre duo. They're overhyped and not worth to listen to.

This is the only band that deserves to be here

9 Coldplay Coldplay are a British pop rock band formed in 1996. The band consists of Chris Martin (lead vocalist and pianist), Jonny Buckland (lead guitarist), Guy Berryman (bassist) and Will Champion (drummer and backing vocalist). They really aren't very good at all.

The Contenders
11 Fall Out Boy Fall Out Boy is an American pop punk band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley.

They sold out. Decent band, but they went too much for the pop charts.

Only good song is "Centuries".

Awful lot of things.

Ever since I heard Young and Menace, I was sick of hearing it. I still like Hold Me Tight Or Don’t, though.

12 AC/DC AC/DC are a Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who continued as members until Malcolm's illness and departure in 2014 . They were fronted by Bon Scott until his untimely death due to alcohol poisoning in 1979, after which they hired Brian Johnson to front the band. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band.

Just like Metallica, their songs don't interest me one bit and I hear them too much so stop playing them already!

13 BTS BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013. RM is the leader and the other members are V, Jimin, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook

In my opinion, their music is downright horrible. It’s annoying. My best friend, however, thinks they are the best band.

14 KISS Kiss, often styled as KISS, was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973. The original members were Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals), and Peter Criss (drums, vocals).

One of the most generic bands in history. They don't really stand out from all the other bands out there. Plus, Gene Simmons is one of the biggest douches on the planet.

15 Black Sabbath Black Sabbath were a Heavy Metal band formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 by guitarist and songwriter Tony Iommi, singer John "Ozzy" Osbourne, bassist and main lyricist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.

The band became mainstream after improving after their debut album got panned. In 1978, Osbourne was fired and replaced with former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Who went to release 2 albums before leaving in 1983, only for Osbourne to return in 1992. ...read more.

"Black Sabbath is the best because they were the first".

I guess by that logic, the best Thrash Metal band is Venom, even though Metallica and Slayer are better and define the genre to a much wider level.

That's exactly my problem with the praise this band gets. Just because they were "THE FIRST" doesn't make them the best. Iron Maiden may have come after, but they define the Metal genre much clearer and generally are more versatile than Black Sabbath ever will be.

Also, a vocal battle between Ozzy Osbourne and Bruce Dickinson is a complete curb-stomp in Bruce's favor. And there's numerous singers in and outside the Metal genre who are better anyway.

They didn't even create metal, even Tony Iommi himself stated that they were ONE of the creators of metal, not the ultimate creator. Dio was definitely a better replacement for Ozzy because he can actually sing (Ozzy's voice is overrated and not even that good).

I'm sick of everyone mentioning their name on every metal music related upload on YouTube.

16 Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock band, founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio.
17 SHINee Shinee is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, vocalist Jonghyun died in December 2017.

Formed in 1976, the group consists of Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. U2's early sound was rooted in post-punk but eventually grew to incorporate influences from many genres of popular music. Their lyrics, often embellished with spiritual imagery, focus on personal themes and sociopolitical concerns.
20 Journey Journey is an American arena rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch.

I find their songs to be incredibly boring, and I'm sick of hearing Don't Stop Believin' every time.

I don't even hear talk about Journey, I dun know if I picked the right community for me

21 Fifth Harmony Fifth Harmony was an American girl group based in Miami, composed of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and previously, Camila Cabello until her departure from the group on December 18, 2016. A mediocre girl group.

Everyone says that Guns N' Roses is the greatest band in the world because Axl Rose has best voice and Slash is best guitarist, but that's not true. There are plenty of singers that are just as good as Axl and plenty guitarists that are just as good as Slash. And they have written songs that aren't that great, same as any other band. Guns N' Roses is good, but they're NOT the best.

Goes without saying.

25 Iron Maiden Iron Maiden are an English Heavy Metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris.
