Some of their albums are just more awesome than others and they really have no bad albums. Out of 10 albums released from 1988 to 2015, 5 are professionally rated 9.5/10 which is very high. The lowest rated album gets 7.5/10 and this is still very good. Hate to say it (since Maiden is one of my favourite bands) but this is only true if you don't count their 90s work, which was mostly bad sans The X Factor. No Prayer For The Dying is very hit-and-miss, Fear Of The Dark is Maiden's most boring album and Virtual XI is their most uninspired. Never made a terrible album though, and their good/great albums far outnumber their bad ones, so that's good. - Mrveteran
