Best Bands that Have Never Released a Bad Album

The Top Ten
1 Death Death was an American death metal band formed in 1983 by Chuck Schuldiner. Death is considered to be one of the most influential bands in heavy metal and a pioneering force in death metal. Its debut album, Scream Bloody Gore, has been widely regarded as the first death metal record, while the band's driving force, Chuck Schuldiner, is acknowledged as the "Godfather of Death Metal." Death released 7 studio albums, and are the band that started the Florida Death Metal scene. They were known for their death metal classics Lack of Comprehension and Crystal Mountain. Death ended in 2001 when Schuldiner died of Brain Cancer.

They changed their style slightly every few albums and they did it perfectly! To be honest I will say that they have never even made a bad song.
Even their demo albums where good.

Death is one of my favorite metal bands and they certainly haven't realesed 1 bad album at all

Ye they were quiet talented

Best band ever!

2 Alice In Chains Alice in Chains is an American grunge/alternative metal band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by guitarist and songwriter Jerry Cantrell and original lead vocalist Layne Staley.

Iron Maiden lost it in the 90s, Death too, Blind Guardian and One Direction suck and sadly Nirvana has Bleach.

Honestly, I don't like what they've put out with William DuVall. I think Layne Staley was way better.

I have to disagree with this one. Their latest album in 2013 is a huge borefest.

4 Blind Guardian Blind Guardian is a German power metal band formed in the mid-1980s in West Germany. They are often credited as one of the seminal and most influential bands in the power metal and speed metal subgenres. Heavily influenced by Queen, they use the technique of overdubbing. They also incorporate large amounts of orchestral arrangements. Hansi Kürsch creates a huge choir effect by overdubbing his own voice multiple times in complex, overlapping harmonies. Thanks to overdubs and numerous backing vocals Blind Guardian stand out with a very dense sound.

Some of their albums are just more awesome than others and they really have no bad albums. Out of 10 albums released from 1988 to 2015, 5 are professionally rated 9.5/10 which is very high. The lowest rated album gets 7.5/10 and this is still very good. As a music reviewer wrote "Blind Guardian possess a track record and back catalogue of classic staples that perhaps only Iron Maiden can match."

Blind Guardian is as amazing as ever, and they will be good no matter what they release.

5 One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and ...read more.

Why are they here? I thought this was bands who have never released a bad album, not bands who have never released a good album.

Everything they've released has sucked.

Along with Edge of Sanity, Opeth is credited with being the first progressive death metal band, although they now play progressive rock. Akerfeldt is good friends with Jonas Renkse of Katatonia, and Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree.

Even their new albums are great, Pale Communion is a masterpiece!

It's a joke that they're not first on the list, a mile ahead of the second-highest list entry. It's an absolute joke. The very existence of this list would make me laugh hysterically, if it wasn't for how sad it is. This list is proof that today's youth culture is musically-ignorant. Down-vote this comment all you want, it doesn't change the fact that I'm right.

These guys rewrote the map on popular music in basically every way.
Their one truly bad album is probably Beatles for Sale but even that has some great songs. Even the albums cited to be their worst like Let It Be contain uhhh 3 #1 singles and other fan favourite songs like Two of Us and Across the Universe. Best band ever.

Oh my god. THE Beatles ARE NOT SOME AMAZING, PERFECT BAND! They have released bad albums, their first few albums consisted of almost nothing but filler, their later albums were nothing special, and the members went on to have better solo careers (except for John Lennon).

Alright, enough with the absurd Beatles admiration already. They’re not that great, and they’ve made plenty of bad albums. I would argue that Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Pepper's aren't even great albums, and the solo work of Paul McCartney and John Lennon is flat out unbearable.

9 System of a Down System of a Down, formed in 1994, is an Armenian-American alternative metal group from Glendale, California. The band name is sometimes shortened to System or SOAD. Some albums better than others, but each one has a distinctive style and unique sound. It keeps each album more interesting, so the same sounds aren't just overused like other bands.

Hate to say it (since Maiden is one of my favourite bands) but this is only true if you don't count their 90s work, which was mostly bad sans The X Factor. No Prayer For The Dying is very hit-and-miss, Fear Of The Dark is Maiden's most boring album and Virtual XI is their most uninspired. Never made a terrible album though, and their good/great albums far outnumber their bad ones, so that's good.

I think they have two bad albums: No Prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark. Cheap AC/DC impersonation with a couple of better songs. I've got nothing against the two albums with Blaze Bayley though

Ever album is a masterpiece

Peart passed away after a 3 year battle with brain cancer in January of 2020. Because of this, Lee says there are no plans to keep the band going, so Rush is most likely defunct. The band has become one of the most well-known progressive rock bands in the world, with such albums as "2112", "Hemispheres" and "Moving Pictures". More than half of their albums have gone gold or platinum, as certified by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America).

The Astonishing was their weakest, that was a good album, it just had too many songs.
I don’t have a problem with it being too long; I just don’t want to keep track of this many songs. I wish they had just condensed it into less songs, but just with a greater length, and maybe cut out some of the filler tracks like The Answer and The Hovering Sojourn.
If you line up their discography with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Dream Theater at their best is almost equal to Maiden and Priest at their best, but Dream Theater is better at their worst, so overall, Maiden and Priest are better, but not by much.

24 Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine is a rap metal band formed in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of vocalist Zack de la Rocha, bassist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello and drummer Brad Wilk.

Their ignorant, moronic political pronouncements should be enough to send them permanently into the wilderness. But given the intellect of such fan bases, probably won't happen.
