Top Ten Bands Who Haven't Aged Well

Some bands have staying power and manage to consistently release great material that keeps them relevant. And some bands just completely fuck up or just really aren't good enough to go beyond making a few songs or albums that have any value to them. Here are ten bands that would fall into the latter category.

Limp Bizkit would only be somewhat relevant today if they had changed their style a la Deftones.
The difference between the two? Deftones are much, much more talented... and their music was actually decent to begin with.

2 In Flames In Flames is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 1990.

Currently active members include Anders Fridén (vocalist), Björn Gelotte (guitarist, formerly drummer), Niclas Engelin (guitarist), and Peter Iwers (bassist). Currently, they are without a drummer; their most recent one was Daniel Svensson.

As is the case with Sepultura, it was all over once Jesper Stromblad left. I will admit that Deliver Us is a great song, but everything else is completely forgettable.

3 Sepultura Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band from Belo Horizonte. Their first album, Morbid Visions presented a proto-black metal sound with Wagner Lamounier of Sarcófago. Sepultura's sound varies by the album, from thrash metal, groove metal, and even death metal.

While the newer material is decent, the real Sepultura was all over after Max Cavalera left.

4 Queensrÿche Queensrÿche is an American progressive heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Bellevue, Washington, out of the local band the Mob. They released their self titled EP in 1984, but didn’t gain notoriety until the release of their critically acclaimed album Operation: Mindcrime in 1988. As of now, they have one EP, and 15 studio albums.

I think the Todd La Torre Queensryche is pretty good now. But Geoff Tate was far too controlling. But he improved with the album, The Key.

5 Guns n Roses Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. The classic lineup, as signed to Geffen Records in 1986, consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. 6 Slayer Slayer was an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Personally, I think Kreator is more heavier than Slayer.

If only they hadn't changed their sound. If they had kept up their thrash sound and kept Dave Mustaine, they would be the best thrash metal band ever. But they sold out.

I actually agree with this one. I like them but they're really not that heavy.
