You see, it's a late night for me, and I'm surfing the web. I click "Best Progressive Rock Bands Of All Time" and ok, Pink Floyd was 1st. But right after them, the actual best progressive rock band of all time.
And so, I scroll down to look for other lists, and apparently every single list that includes "Best" in its title has the rush logo. They have a huge fanbase. For a good reason. Good bands should have massive fanbases. And this one made "good" bad.

Best band ever in my opinion. There are a lot of great bands around for a period time. RUSH is a part of my life since 1976 and will be till I die, I think.
It is amazing that how different every album is from previous albums, music from RUSH always touches me. Makes me happy, sometimes a few tears. Always emotion. Great musicianship, nice guys, great fans! Made a few friends for life through RUSH. Thanks for that as well!

Slayer is the most influentional and the most hard hitting band ever created in the history of Metal. Their lyrics are way more dimentional and historical than other, the music created by them is unbeatable and this is the band who got me into creating riffs on guitar

Out of the big four of Thrash Metal, I'd say Slayer is the one with the most hardcore fanbase. Megadeth and Metallica are close seconds though.
