I used to like these guys a lot, but man, their stuff has just not aged well at all. Not quite Simple Plan levels of whiny, but it's up there. I can only listen to them now when they're pretty far from their nu-metal selves. - Zach808
While they weren't that great to begin with, at least they were trying with their albums. Then they only sold out harder, feeding into modern teenage angst, which was when I called quit with these "singers". - Swellow
They pretty much were my favorite band as a kid. Now, I only listen to Iridescent or The Little Things Give You Away. Those two songs are beautiful. - cjWriter1997

Somehow, I've actually softened on these guys. Don't get me wrong, I still despise their attempts at being preachy in songs like If Everyone Cared, but I can kinda see the appeal of their dirtier rockstar ass side. I still don't like them, but I've heard worse. - Zach808

I'm sorry, but I feel the need to disagree with this. I know this is an opinion but since this is a subjective list, I think I can explain why do I not agree with Van Halen being this high on the list. To me, Van Halen is amazing, and is within my top 5 favorite bands for sure, and probably tied with Whitesnake for my favorite hard rock band. Van Halen was the first hard rock band I really got into and liked a lot-and still do. I've never tired of hearing their music despite listening to it quite often. They have a variety of songs depending on what you want to listen to from both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar's eras. - Element119
