401 Dan Lilker Dan Lilker Dan Lilker is an American metal bassist. He co-founded the influential thrash metal band Anthrax with Scott Ian. 403 Todd 'Buckwheat' Edmonds

Virtuoso player of bass, double bass, tuba, sousaphone and other instruments I haven't even heard of before :) I had the luck to hear some amazing solos back when in Jason Ricci and New Blood. in my humble opinion he deserves a dedicated place on this list.

407 Greg Christian Greg Christian
408 Rick James Rick James

410 Simon Fitzpatrick

This is not a big name, in fact he is knowed just for his YouTube channel and for some small band he have played... But is one of the best bassists I've ever heard. Listen his remix of Bohemian Rhapsody and Flight of the Bumblebee and you will surely love him.

411 Bill Blough

As the longtime bassist for George Thorogood and the Destroyers, he hasn't gotten 1/4 of the recognition he deserves. I've been watching and listening for about 40 years his talent has grown every time I've been to see the band (which is every time I can get to the venue or city). Showmanship is very entertaining but solid, great playing is what makes the music so good.

412 Adam "Nolly" Getgood

Exceptional playing and great taste in basses

413 Rutger Gunnarsson

Deserves to be way higher than this. This guy was classically trained and also was responsible for the string arrangements as well as the awesome bass-lines on many of ABBA's greatest songs. Incredible bass playing on 'Knowing Me Knowing You'. 'Dancing Queen' and 'One Of Us'. - DeeJay3

He was also known for play with much of the Abba band on Chess

Few bassists have played on records that have sold over 370 million copies: Paul McCartney, a handful of session kingpins like Carol Kaye, and--less a ''name'' but still brilliant--ABBA's Rutger Gunnarsson.
Rutger was most known for his long and close collaboration with Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and ABBA, having worked on all their albums, singles, tours, films and musicals.
Bass fans are particularly fond of his contributions to hits like "Dancing Queen", "Knowing Me Knowing You" and "Money, Money, Money".

414 Nick Wire

A beautiful bass player and lyricist. The manics were not the same wthout him

415 Dean Bernardini Dean Bernardini
416 Joe Loeffler Joe Loeffler
417 Mattias Norrman

Katatonia, October Tide, etc.

418 Bill Black

Elvis' first bass player was a terrific double bass player. According to producer Sam Phillips, her could slap that bass like no one else as you can hear on Elvis' Sun sides. Just listen to Mystery Train, where, while playing the bass, he also, by cause of his slapping, produces a great percussion sound. The best rockabilly bass player ever.

419 Necrobutcher Necrobutcher Jørn Stubberud, AKA Necrobutcher, is a Norwegian bassist known as a founding member of the black metal band Mayhem .

Entry level bassist on you tube have more talent than necro.why is necro here

420 Jesse F. Keeler

One of the most unique and amazing bassists out there. Death from above 1979's mastermind.
