1 Dr. Gaius Baltar
It's great to see Gaius Fracking Baltar (and James Callis) getting so much appreciation. He really helped sell the series to me when I was worried it was going to all be about swaggering officer types. I warmed to those guys too.
Very interesting and deep character. James Callis was great in this role!
2 Kara "Starbuck" Thrace
The most badass character in the series. She kicks ass!

He has bad luck through the whole series, but he is always loyal to his friends a true hero.

Really liked her through the whole first season, and even more after watching the brilliant season 2 episode "Downloaded".
