Top Ten Beatles Album Recording Sessions

Yellow Submarine is not included, as it had no proper sessions.
The Top Ten
1 The Beatles (1968)

Non-album songs: Lady Madonna, The Inner Light, Hey Jude, Revolution, Hey Bulldog, Across the Universe
Not my favourite Beatles album, but when songs like Hey Jude, Hey Bulldog, and Across the Universe are added to album tracks such as While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Blackbird, it's a masterpiece.

For the White Album, their writing was influenced by... well, I think we all know. How else can you explain "Wild Honey Pie"

2 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1966-67)

Non-album songs: Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, Only a Northern Song
Think of how good Pepper would have been if SFF or Penny Lane had made an appearance!

3 Rubber Soul (1965)

Non-album songs: We Can Work It Out, Day Tripper
Already a strong album, it certainly isn't hurt by the addition of the very first double A-side single.

4 Revolver (1966)

Yes, Revolver is indeed a dynamite of an album! Such a great work, absolutely. Paperback Writer and Rain were very characteristic songs of that period. They should be in the Revolver album, they fit perfectly there.

Non-album songs: Paperback Writer, Rain
Already a masterpiece, these two only make it better.

5 Abbey Road (1969)

Non-album songs: The Ballad of John and Yoko, Old Brown Shoe

6 Let It Be (1969-70)

Non-album songs: Don't Let Me Down, You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)
You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) was partially recorded in 1967. However, its vocals were recorded during the Let It Be sessions.
Note that Across the Universe appeared on Let It Be despite being recorded during the White Album sessions.

Get Back's single form is studio, and Let it Be's is album version, so technically the studio recorded Get Back is a non album single.

7 Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

Non-album songs: Hello Goodbye, All You Need is Love, Baby You're a Rich Man, It's All Too Much, All Together Now
Note that Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane appeared on the album, but were recorded in the Sgt. Pepper sessions.

8 Help! (1965)

Non-album songs: Bad Boy, Yes It Is, I'm Down
Bad Boy is probably the least known Beatles track. It was recorded during the Help! Sessions, but wasn't released until 1966, on the LP A Collection of Beatles Oldies (But Goldies!).

9 With the Beatles (1963)

Non-album songs: I Want to Hold Your Hand, This Boy
This one is on the list principally because of how much I love All My Loving and This Boy.

10 A Hard Day's Night (1964)

Non-album songs: none
And I Love Her, A Hard Day's Night, If I Fell, Can't Buy Me Love? Quite a collection of songs!

The Contenders
11 Please Please Me (1963)
12 Beatles for Sale (1964)

Non-album songs: She's a Woman, I Feel Fine

13 Please Please Me (1962-63)
