I've included the most beautiful metal genres. I've tried my best. If you have something else on your mind, please add more.
Metal isn't only about brutality or madness, and some of these genres are great example of it. You can find beauty in heaviness too. Symphonic metal is the prime example of it. At least, to me.
To me this is the most beautiful, too.
Folk metal is a fusion genre of heavy metal music and traditional folk music that developed in Europe during the 1990s. Some folk tunes are truly amazing - I like in particular those Nordic/Celtic tunes. But folk metal is very diverse and not all bands create 'beautiful' songs. If we are talking about bands like Equilibrium - yes, their stuff is beautiful. But Alestorm, Korpiklaani and Trollfest are not of this type. However, even their songs have some beautiful elements.
It's a great metal genre with mix of old viking folk/traditional music and metal. Some folk metal bands use genres like black or death metal. But there are soft folk metal bands too.
Progressive metal songs use good sound mixing.
This genre was inspired by classical music. Classical music is beautiful. So this genre is also beautiful.
I love this and find it beautiful. I love Yngwie instrumentals the most.
There are many beautiful power metal songs but to me Nightfall by Blind Guardian is the most beautiful.

Not a big fan of this genre, but the songs I heard, I felt some beauty in those genres. Despite having heavy riffs.
Some of the most beautiful riffs are in this subgenre, especially Amon Amarth riffs, in my opinion.

Alternative metal is a music genre that infuses heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres normally associated with metal. I know some consider this as not a metal genre, but there are beautiful songs from Alt metal. Plus, I was short on one or two items. So I added it here.
