The Top Ten

It was her first single (1978), she wrote the song when she was 18 years old, in reference to Emilie Brontë's novel "Wuthering Heights". - Lotuscandy

Lol and it's not finished yet! I take time to do the remixes too, because since you posted these lists, I can't stop adding songs, wish to make them as complete as possible, and hope I didn't add too much irrelevant songs. - Lotuscandy

29 Cosmic Dancer - T. Rex
30 Radioactivity - Kraftwerk

They were real precursors in electronic music, this song came out in 1975 (Autobahn in 1974), it's almost incredible. I find this song beautiful and scary at the same time.
"Radioactivity... discovered by Madame Curie"
By the way, Marie Curie became the first woman to be honoured with interment in the Panthéon (Paris) on her own merits. As her corpse is still radioactive, her coffin was wrapped with several lead layers, her body is almost intact because of the radiations she received during her life. The damaging effects of ionising radiation were not known at the time of her work, which had been carried out without the safety measures later developed. - Lotuscandy

31 American Pie - Don McLean
32 I'll Be There - Jackson 5
33 No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley & the Wailers
34 I Can See Clearly Now - Johnny Nash
35 Ain’t No Sunshine - Bill Withers
36 You are the Sunshine of My Life - Stevie Wonder
37 Imagine - John Lennon

This one was so obvious that I hesitated to add it, finally did, still beautiful. - Lotuscandy

38 Always on My Mind - Elvis Presley
39 Is This Love - Bob Marley & the Wailers
40 My Sweet Lord - George Harrison
41 Fire and Rain - James Taylor
42 Love is All - Roger Glover

Featuring Ronnie James Dio.
Probably one of the first english language songs that I understood, also loved the cartoon-like music video, which was still often aired years after its release. Don't know if it's really beautiful (beautiful may be something subjective), but it brings back my childhood instantly, so maybe I'm not objective! - Lotuscandy

43 You are So Beautiful - Joe Cocker
44 I Don't Like Mondays - The Boomtown Rats

A tragic event inspired Bob Geldof to write this song, which is still a nice song. - Lotuscandy

45 In the Flesh - Blondie
46 Follow You Follow Me - Genesis
47 In a Broken Dream - Python Lee Jackson

"Python Lee Jackson" was a nothing Aussie band that happened to have Rod Stewart sit in as a vocalist for this one song.

There's not pretty much info about this song out there but hardly knew that it was released in 1970 - zxm

48 Rainbow Eyes - Rainbow
49 Temple of the King - Rainbow
50 Dream On - Aerosmith
