Beavis and Butthead's Favorite Music Videos

In the show Beavis and Butthead, whenever our two main characters weren't on their own personal crusades of stupidity, they would be in front of the television watching MTV. They would be seen watching music videos and reacting to them. Most of the videos that they watched received a lot of mockery from Beavis and Butthead, but there were some videos that they liked. These are some of those videos. I'm creating this list purely off their reactions to each individual video, and I'm sure that if you asked Beavis and Butt-head themselves, they might give you a different answer than me. But since that's not going to happen, I'm just going to go ahead and make this list.

The Top Ten

1 Them Bones - Alice in Chains Them Bones - Alice in Chains Cover Art

Beavis and Butt-head liked all of the big grunge bands except for Pearl Jam, which they never reacted to. When they watched the video for Them Bones, Butthead said that it was the coolest video he'd ever seen.

2 I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones Cover Art

They loved this video so much that they didn't even say anything. They just rocked out to it the whole time.

3 Sabotage - Beastie Boys Sabotage - Beastie Boys Cover Art

Beavis got so excited while watching this video that he couldn't control himself despite promising to Butthead that he would keep his mouth shut. Although Beavis and Butthead generally preferred Hard Rock and Metal, they did enjoy rap music to some extent, and the Beastie Boys were definitely their favorite rap group because they were heavy too in their own way.

4 Wiggle Stick - The Reverend Horton Heat Wiggle Stick - The Reverend Horton Heat Cover Art

A guy playing souped up rock and roll with a snake around his neck? Enough to get Beavis and Butthead's attention.

5 Jive Talkin' - Bee Gees Jive Talkin' - Bee Gees Cover Art

When they heard the song for the first time, they thought it was the Black Crowes, but then realized that it was cooler than the Black Crowes. They can also be seen dancing and shaking their bottoms to the song.

6 Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails Cover Art

Much like the video for I Want to Be Sedated, they didn't say much aside from "These guys are cool", instead rocking out to the music.

7 No Voices In The Sky - Motörhead No Voices In The Sky - Motörhead Cover Art

When they saw this video, they went crazy, shouting "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"

8 Bikini Girls With Machine Guns - The Cramps Bikini Girls With Machine Guns - The Cramps Cover Art

The Cramps promised us a music video featuring bikini girls with machine guns - and they did not disappoint. Worthy of the boys' respect.

9 Butt Town - Iggy Pop Butt Town - Iggy Pop Cover Art

As you can clearly tell, this song has a particular emphasis on juvenile humor, which the boys found to be extremely clever.

10 I'm Broken - Pantera I'm Broken - Pantera Cover Art

When they watched this one, Beavis turned up the TV volume so loud that he couldn't hear a word that Butthead was saying.

The Contenders

11 Just a Friend - Biz Markie Just a Friend - Biz Markie Cover Art

When they saw Biz Markie wearing that costume while Beavis and Butthead watch that music video, MTV was like "OMG, They're watching a Biz Markie music video?! TV-14 my ass!"

12 Gin & Juice - Snoop Dogg Gin & Juice - Snoop Dogg Cover Art
13 Fire Woman - The Cult Fire Woman - The Cult Cover Art

The boys loved this song, probably because it has references to fire in it.

14 Seasons In the Abyss - Slayer Seasons In the Abyss - Slayer Cover Art

They can be seen singing along with the opening riff, prompting Butthead to say, "They should play that part throughout the entire song".

15 Outshined - Soundgarden Outshined - Soundgarden Cover Art

They watched four of Soundgarden's videos. They particularly enjoyed this one and "Rusty Cage". When Chris Cornell appears on screen, "Butthead says, "That guy looks like Jesus", and Beavis says, "Christ is cool."

16 Symphony of Destruction - Megadeth Symphony of Destruction - Megadeth Cover Art

This video has got a lot of war violence and destruction, which the boys definitely think is cool. The version they listened to is the Gristle Mix, which was done by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.

17 Painkiller - Judas Priest Painkiller - Judas Priest Cover Art

They can be seen headbanging to this song, and at one point, Beavis tries to sing like Rob Halford.

18 Who Was In My Room Last Night? - Butthole Surfers Who Was In My Room Last Night? - Butthole Surfers Cover Art

Beavis and Butthead loved these guys. The main reason, besides the funny name, is that their music rocked out. Aside from saying that they were cool and the fact that Flea showed up in the video was cool, they didn't say anything during the video. Much like the Ramones video, they rocked out the entire time.
